Maria Guzman, Thank you and the Windsor Communities team for helping those in need. Your work not only helps people in need, but is a fantastic way to develop leadership in your group. How so? The best leadership is all about high-trust relationships. One of the most powerful ways to build trust is to genuinely love your people. When they know you love them, the result is deeper engagement, commitment, and productivity. When you/Windsor do community service, you literally practice love for others. Every time you practice love, you become a more loving person, leader, and parent--building higher trust, higher performance leaders and teams--at work and home--in the process.

Tis the season for volunteering! In honor of International Volunteer Day, now is the time to reach out to your local charities and see if there are any opportunities for you to help during the holiday rush or maybe sometime in the new year! I don't pretend to be an expert on this, but this is one of the many reasons I love working at Feather Down Farms. As a society, we're witnessing the rise of screen addiction among our children, I know we are as a family.   Recent studies have shown that prolonged exposure to screens can lead to issues like sleep disturbances, obesity, poor academic performance, and even developmental delays. 😔 Here are a few steps I have started to try and implement in our house: 📺 Set Screen Time Limits: Establish clear guidelines for screen time and stick to them. We encourage outdoor activities, reading, and imaginative play as alternatives. 🤳 Lead by Example: My children often mimic my behaviour so I am conscious of my screen time and leave my phone in other rooms of the house to remove the temptation for me to scroll or respond to messages 💻 Create Tech-Free Zones: Designated areas in our home where screens are not allowed, such as our dining table or the kids' bedrooms, to promote quality family time. 🏕️ Enjoy a Feather Down weekend often   #ScreenTime #ChildHealth #DigitalWellBeing #ParentingTips #Education #HealthyHabits

Strengthening Communities: Giving plays a crucial role in building and strengthening communities. By supporting local charities, nonprofits, and community-based organizations, individuals and organizations can help address local challenges, improve the quality of life for community members, and foster a sense of unity and collaboration. 3. Creating Social Change: Giving has the power to create positive social change. Through collective giving, this effort can have a significant impact on society and drive meaningful change.
