Coloniality is still traceable across spaces of persecution and protection for Rohingya refugees. Yasmynn Chowdhury explores here, how lingering colonial debris gives rise to cyclical reproductions of (non)belonging and denials of epistemic agency which follow Rohingya across borders. Through these painful experiential refrains, systems of refugee protection and their apparati of knowledge production may inadvertently permit the persistence of a preventable continuum of suffering. It's our #humanity, our values that unite people, not colour, gender, religion, politics or even citizenship. #SouthAfrica has emerged globally, from it's racial trauma of racist oppression to become a moral beacon for all humanity. An African, majority Christian G20 nation defending the human rights of Arab, majority Muslim, occupied and marginal one. Why? because human rights apply to everyone. Especially the vulnerable. As a planet we are stronger together than divided. All across the world, citizen Jews, Muslims, Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, Atheists and Agnostics have protested and united against genocide. Western leaders, supported by a corrupt media and money have defied the will of their own citizens to continue traumatising, maiming, burning, crushing and murdering over two million children, women and men in public view. Two million. If a minority of politicians can justify genocide well seriously - they can justify anything - even against their own citizens if it suits their narrow and private interests. America already comfortably exploits it's own poor and middle class citizens for power and profit... UK and Europe politicians will follow their role model as the money runs out. The 'West' is making China look like model of human rights, an angel by comparison. Pushing any nations with humanity and integrity into their orbit. This is a critical point in history. If the ICJ fails to uphold justice because of colonial bias it's the end of a rules-based order led by the USA. For what - Gazan Gas? An act of Imperial self-harm, the beginning of an end to the empire. If the #ICJ actually functions - against the odds and powers against them - it's an incredible victory for humanity. All of us. A peaceful, civilised, rules-based order that includes both China, USA and the whole world together is still possible. let's hope and pray. #FreeGaza

Gaza today—the most disgraceful #concentration camp of modern history—Israel is carrying-out a calculated genocide against the Palestinians. They're being wiped out, neighborhood by neighborhood, #hospital by hospital, #school by school and #refugee camp by refugee camp. And it is all happening with the backing of #American and #European weapons! To the #world—Palestinians will never #forgive your betrayal. You have stripped them of their most basic rights. And to the #Arab nations—Keep your armies busy silencing your own #people and follow orders from the US. If there's one #nation without a shred of #vision, it's the Arab nation. How much longer will we stand by and let this nightmare continue? #Gaza #Palestine #Genocide #HumanRights #MiddleEast #IsraeliOccupation #InternationalLaw #HumanitarianCrisis #GlobalIndifference #CivilRights #ArabWorld #PoliticalInjustice #EthnicCleansing #WarCrimes #PeaceForPalestine #US #EU #EuropeanCommission #icj #icc
