LinkedIn Tip #42 Instead of writing your posts natively on LinkedIn, follow these steps: 1. Write your posts in your preferred notes app 2. Run them through Grammarly 3. Copy and paste them into LinkedIn Regardless if it's an app crash, loss of battery, or some other reason, at some point you will inevitably start a guaranteed viral post that will be lost to the ethers, forcing you to start again from scratch or give up on the post altogether. Ever feel like LinkedIn is running your life? I did too, until I decided to take control. First, I set daily goals. 🎯 Simple, achievable targets to keep me focused. Next, I limited my time on the app. No more endless scrolling. Just 15 minutes a day. I also changed my alert settings. No more constant pings. Just the important stuff. Before → I came to other people's DM and asked them for advice Now → Other people come to my DM for advice I can't believe how fast things change Even me, myself, and I, don't know how I achieve these results. I can't give a concrete answer. All I know is, I'm not afraid to do something new I'm not afraid to experiment with my post I'm not afraid to do something many people are afraid to do As I'm a beginner, I play with LinkedIn. No one was watching me and that gave me confidence to make more mistakes. Yes, MISTAKES I make mistakes, make some changes, and try it again. Now that I have a small community. Do you think I'm gonna stop experimenting? Nope. No. Won't happen. It would be scary to do it when there are eyes watching me now. But that is my asset. That's what separates me from others. P.S. I can finally see the short video tab on my LinkedIn app. As you can see, the tab is on prime screen real estate, which means LinkedIn is going to be pushing short videos aggressively for the time being. This is your call to start creating shorts : anywhere from 30s to 2 mins. Ride the tailwind and get more engagement I've been creating short videos myself and I keep everything within 1 min, because I like to post the same video on YouTube as well. From my feed, most videos have a fair amount of editing and aren't the more raw types that you get to see on other platforms. But that's just my feed. What does your shorts feed look like on LinkedIn, assuming you have this feature rolled out?

Dear LinkedIn, I hate the new stories feature (it’s okay if no one cares, but here’s my rant). I am using LinkedIn because I can’t handle the addictive components of Instagram and YouTube and did spend way too much of my lifetime watching cats being scared of cucumbers… Your mission statement literally says your goal is to make your members more productive.
