I was lucky to work with Unimate and Puma robots at last eighty. Hydraulic and electric technologies working in automotive plant of GM Spain.

Repair the dates: Fanuc founded in 1956. In 1972, developed the computer numerical control (CNC) machine. 1974 was the beginning of robots, in Japan.

Sorry, again it’s not correct what you post! KUKA‘s first imported robot was manufactured by Nachi and Nachi produced robots in the 1960th already. Btw: Before the electrical robotic Nachi produced hydraulic robots already in the 1950th.

Thank you Vanessa Famulus and IRB6 was the first robots with electric actuator instead hydraulic. Cincinnati Milacron T3, (1973) should also has a major place here. It was the first computer controlled robot. Unimate, puma, ... are the root of current FANUC.

There is a preserved 1977 Yaskawa robot in their Miamisburg Ohio office. The robot is on display in their lobby.
