🌟 Big news: we're doubling capacity in Singapore 🌟 We’re full of good news these days. Following last week’s announcement about the approval to operate our propeller polish ROV (PropShiner) in more terminals in Singapore, we’re excited to share that by Q1 2025, we’ll have a second hull cleaning ROV (ShipShiner) in place to meet the growing demand for sustainable biofouling services in the region. Here’s a quick breakdown:  ♡ Singapore, one of the world’s largest and busiest hubs, has been central to our operations since we first arrived in 2014. ⛴ As more proactive vessel owners, charterers, and managers recognize the immediate cost and emission reductions from biofouling management, demand for sustainable hull and propeller cleanings in the region has never been higher. 📈 At C-LEANSHIP, we’re investing to support ambitious growth ahead. It’s only natural that we ensure we have the resources and infrastructure to meet the growing demand and support our clients’ long-term biofouling management strategies—helping them optimize vessel performance, reduce emissions, and stay compliant with evolving regulations. 👥 Our expansion also includes strengthening our team to manage the increased volume of inspections and cleanings, ensuring we deliver excellence every time. 🔮 And there’s more to come. The vessel has zero CO2 emissions, eliminating more than 300 tonnes of CO2 released by the previous model in operation and reducing energy consumption by around 30%. The electric ferryboat "#Salicórnia", which will become part of AveiroBus' operations, runs between São Jacinto, in Aveiro, and Forte da Barra, in Ílhavo, replacing the vessel previously responsible for this crossing. 🌊 The ship was built by the ETE Group, which owns the Navaltagus Reparação e Construção Naval, for Câmara Municipal de Aveiro, which is financing most of the investment. Hull cleaning in South Korea is strictly regulated to prevent biofouling from contaminating local waters. Our South Korean partners, with extensive experience in ROV hull cleaning, ensure full compliance with the rigorous biosecurity standards set by Australian and New Zealand maritime authorities. Their eco-friendly vessel, "Esther," was designed to transport two HullWiper ROV units to major ports like Busan, Ulsan, Pohang, Masan, Jinhae, Yeosu, and Gwangyang. By deploying two ROVs at once, they cut cleaning time in half, providing a fast, green and cost-effective solution for ship owners and operators. Too successfully reach our goals we look to every opportunity to cut our emissions when we can. As a result of joined forces with Port of Lübeck, we now can bunker LNG during port operation at Skandinavienkai. To be able to do this during port stay enables us to save 6 h on a roundtrip, which lets us go slower on the sea and reduce our emissions. Also seen in the picture: We welcome TAVASTLAND back in service after a scheduled drydocking. As a planned measure we have hydro blasted the hull and applied a new full coat ice-breaking paint, which will ease passage in the water and generate lower fuel consumption. We continue our approach to avoid antifouling to reduce emission to sea. Our shipping company is based on a tradition that consistently aims to reduce the negative impact of its operations. This is achieved by optimization, using cleaner, more energy-efficient technologies and systematically eliminating areas of impact with harmful effects. We seek to contribute to a maritime transport system that makes no negative impact on the environment. Our aim to transport goods without harming the environment and people by creating truly sustainable shipping operations. Our intent is to limit our harmful impact on the environment and systematically reduce our emissions. WALLENIUS SOL will always be open to what innovative research can offer and are prepared to change or change tracks if better solutions arise. The sea has unique potentials, and its environment must be protected. In most contexts, shipping is the most energy-efficient mode of transport but, like all transport, has an environmental impact.
