Unless the tax to GDP ratio is raised to at least 40% the chances of providing an adequately resourced Health, Education and Welfare system in the UK is remote. The means are there to do it, but the will isn’t.
In the run up to the budget I have seen claims that as many as one in five people are planning to leave the UK because taxes are too high. If they are, they’re in for a shock. The well-off and the wealthy get a great tax deal in the UK that they’re going to find hard to replicate anywhere else.
Are the rich going to leave?

There is some truth in these statements about the Australian Labor Party. Labor is effectively in a "joint enterprise" with the Murdoch family (News Corp) and with the Liberal and National Parties. They have been bribed using an "elite capture" mechanism that involves global capital markets gaining access to Australia's retail property asset class (home, land, and water rights). It is not a fluke that former Treasurer, Josh Frydenberg, now works for Goldman Sachs. But either the Greens don't have the smarts to be able to join the dots, or they are being precluded via national security laws from explaining it to voters. My understanding is that the price of homes that banks use for mortgages has historically been 6 times a worker's average annual income. For it to be 20 times now in the Prime Minister's suburb, is evidence Australia's economy is very seriously out of balance. And that is a political (Marxist) issue as well as an economic one.

When former Prime Minister Jim Callaghan discussed the political climate before the 1979 General Election, he predicted a significant shift favoring Margaret Thatcher. He was correct, with Labour losing and spending the next 18 years in opposition. Danyal Usman argues that 45 years later, we are witnessing another sea change in politics. Despite the disastrous campaign he ran, there was nothing Rishi Sunak could have said or done to change the election's outcome. The British people punished 14 years of perceived incompetence, handing the Conservatives their worst election result ever. Usman identifies three key issues—Tax, Immigration, and Europe, dubbed the 'Tebbit trinity'—that condemned the Tories to opposition. Historically, adherence to these Thatcherite policies has failed to resonate beyond core supporters, evident in the electoral failures of leaders like William Hague, Michael Howard, and Iain Duncan Smith. Usman emphasizes that the Conservatives' recent failures on tax, immigration, and Brexit, coupled with internal strife, have alienated their broader voter base. Usman argues that the 2019 success was driven by 'levelling-up' promises to disillusioned Labour voters, which have since been neglected. To regain power, the party must abandon the 'Tebbit trinity', learn from Labour's recovery, and address key issues like NHS waiting lists, housing affordability, and infrastructure. #conservatives #labour #normantebbitt #tax #immigration #brexit https://lnkd.in/eQatMrAV

‼️💥NEWS FLASH💥‼️ ELECTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES This seems like such a logical statement. American citizens are swirling in debt, unable to pay bills, frustrated by rising crime, and concerned about immigration and national security. Not only that, we have a monstrous administrative state waging war on conservatives and implementing a two-tiered system of justice. The policies of peace, economic growth, opportunity, freedom, and prosperity always help citizens to thrive, which in turn helps the nation to thrive. We are living in a time when those policies have been cast aside for big-government policies of tax, spend, regulate, and restrict. Economic growth is an oxymoron. Elections Have Consequences. Make sure YOU know the policy proposals of candidates BEFORE you vote. America cannot stand another four years of learning lessons the hard way. Be an informed voter. ✅ Contact us at Prosperity101.com for resources to share in your home, workplace, or school that guide people to understanding policies of economic growth and freedom. 🇺🇸 Don’t delay. In 1960 America had a family-friendly economy. Unions were strong. Marginal tax rates were high on the wealth and corporations. The Reagan Revolution destroyed unions and cut taxes on the wealth. Now both father and mother must work to survive. Let's kill the Reagan Revolution and restore the conditions that will let families thrive.

If you were singing the praises of economic repair on June 19 but you are not doing so on July 4, there is work to do yet. If you were posting, reposting and commenting with performative indignance on the importance of restorative justice on June 19 while enjoying time off without a care in the world on July 4, there is work to do yet. If supporting Black-owned business sounded good on June 19 but today is halfway down your list of Independence Day budget allowances on July 4, there is work to do yet. A reminder that when the Declaration of Independence was signed, people that looked like me were still property. Let’s be mindful of the way we embody the practices we preach on days when our privilege affords us time, space, distance and protection from the reality of the nearly 90-year gap between July 4, 1776 and June 19, 1865, as well as the systems of oppression, inequity and institutionalized violence still alive and well today that were built upon it. Enjoy your fireworks and barbecue, though.

If you are confused as to how a country with nearly 350 million people can provide us with two such poor options I'd recommend you read "The Politics Industry" by Katherine Gehl and Michael Porter. Our political system in America must be broken, right? Wrong. The sad truth is, the American political system is working exactly how it is designed to work, and it isn't designed or optimized today to work for us--for ordinary citizens. Most people believe that our political system is a public institution with high-minded principles and impartial rules derived from the Constitution. In reality, it has become a private industry dominated by a textbook duopoly--the Democrats and the Republicans. Tragically, our political system has therefore become incapable of delivering solutions to America's key economic and social challenges. In fact, there's virtually no connection between our political leaders solving problems and getting reelected. The debate last week was an unfortunate example of precisely the outcome described in this book. It's worth your time -- even if it is depressing -- since this silliness at least begins to make sense.

If we get Trump back, he will hopefully see this as a blueprint to drain the swamp!!! "Milei’s approach to political reform should be particularly instructive to leaders on the American right. A professed anarcho-capitalist, Milei approaches politics from the severe perspective of the economist. His theory of his political enemies is simple: they are parasites, dependent upon the largesses of the state provided at the expense of the taxpayer. They produce nothing of value to the public, they depend on patronage. The solution is equally simple—the chainsaw. Cut off the flow of money, dissolve the government ministries and departments, end the subsidies and the regulatory carve-outs and the board-room sinecures at state-run corporations, and they will starve to death." https://lnkd.in/gwXwJQRm #uspolitics #election2024 #trump #milei

https://lnkd.in/gGr3WmKZ trudeau's fairness for all is all BS. It is impossible. Look at your friends, look at your neighbors, just look around. Put yourself in the middle. There are some richer than you, then there's you, then there are some poorer than you. Natural. Are you mad at the ones richer than you? No. Are you mad at yourself for where you are? No. Are you mad at those poorer than you? No. trudeau is trying to make us feel as though, the ones who are richer should pay more to even out the ones who are less fortunate. He forgot about us, in the middle, on purpose. Even though we are not rich, we have built our nest eggs for our future and our retirement. Now he wants to tax us out of it. It is not going to help the poor by taking away from the middle, it will result in the middle becoming poorer. The rich will pay a bit more, but hardly noticeable to them in terms of overall wealth and they will find tax shelters to soften the blow. They will still remain rich. This will not have any effect on the poor. So all in all, his claim to make it more fair for all generations? Complete bullshit. It is not a democratic move, it is a Marxist, communist move to gain control over the people, over the masses by providing false promises of equality for all.
