RRX Values in Action – Team India Transforming Medical Support in the Nilgiris Mountain Area covering 57 villages, RRX India handed over the keys to the newly refurbished primary health center on 21st Nov 2023. The Project was funded by Marathon Electric India Pvt Ltd, Faridabad, through their statutory Community Service Funds. Regional President, Rishi Bhatnagar had the pleasure of being part of the inauguration and handing over the center. This Primary health center services 57 villages and 12 hamlets deep in the Nilgiris mountains. The resident doctor, Dr Ranjith, had moist eyes as Rishi was handing over the keys to the new center. The villagers who had gathered there were eternally grateful to Regal Rexnord for refurbishing this primary health center which is their only ‘go-to’ place for childbirth in this remote area. RRX received a lot of blessings from the elders of the village and the place started teeming with patients who visited the center for their various health issues. We were fortunate to also welcome the first healthy baby born at the center a few hours prior to the official inauguration of the Primary health center. 😊 This center expects to attend to about 8~10 childbirths per day, and the villagers claim after seeing the center that they will now not need to go to the city for childbirth (the nearest city is a 1-hour drive from this location).
