Congratulations to Rolly, our June Employpet of the Month! Rolly is an adorable 10-month-old long-haired mini dachshund belonging to Kimmy, the practice manager at Winter Hill Veterinary Clinic. Rolly accompanies Kimmy to work most days and is guaranteed to spread smiles and joy to everyone he meets. This little guy loves a good weigh-in, hoping it leads to treats! It's World No Tobacco Day. We all know that smoking is bad for humans. But did you know that pets are more exposed to chemicals from smoking than we might realize? If you've seen how smoke stains furniture and walls in a smoker's home, imagine the residue on pets' fur or feathers. This "smoker's residue" is full of harmful chemicals. Pets in smoking households not only breathe in the smoke but also ingest these toxins while grooming themselves.
