Recently, we at Asahi Group held an internal workshop aimed at deepening our understanding of human rights. We screened a thought-provoking documentary film on the human rights of producers, sparking a valuable discussion amongst our members about their relevance to our industry and our organization. Our guest speaker, Akiko SATO from UNDP, who is an expert on human rights, raised a compelling question: "What can we, as a community, do at both corporate and individual levels, towards nature and the planet?" This sparked an insightful discussion about our responsibilities, as businesses and individuals, in respecting nature and the planet on a larger scale and within our communities. We are committed to continuing these conversations and taking actions that reflect our dedication to human rights and sustainability. #HumanRights #CorporateResponsibility #Sustainability

Fair is beautiful? Being light skinned has always been considered beautiful! In the past, I have personally believed that being fair is beautiful. And like me there are several people who still believe so. So from where does this belief come in? Where do we learn it from? Have you heard elders telling children to not go out during sunny days as it might make them dark? I have also seen parents not allowing their children to stay in a beach for long as it might make them dark. ➡️When children see this, they start believing that being dark is not good. As a society, we have been drilling this misleading concept in our children. ➡️This is one of the major reason for low self esteem in children with darker complexion especially among girls. No doubt our country is leading in the sale of fairness products! ✅As parents, we should teach our children about how every skin colour is beautiful, after all it is, right! ✨Let us give them the right information about skin colour being determined by melanin pigment and is not a measure of beauty! Have you experienced this bias based on your skin colour? Do share in the comments

As we immerse ourselves in the festivities of Holi, I can't help but draw parallels between this vibrant celebration and the dynamic world of corporate endeavors. Here's how the essence of Holi beautifully mirrors the ethos of our corporate landscape: 💫Diversity in Colors, Diversity in Talents: Just as Holi brings together a spectrum of colors, the corporate world thrives on diversity. Our teams are a blend of individuals with varied backgrounds, skills, and perspectives, each contributing their unique hue to the canvas of innovation. 💫Unity in Diversity: Holi transcends barriers of caste, creed, and age, uniting people in a colorful embrace. Similarly, in the corporate sphere, diverse teams collaborate towards common goals, leveraging their differences to achieve remarkable outcomes. 💫Celebrating Relationships: Holi is not just about colors; it's about forging bonds, renewing friendships, and celebrating relationships. Likewise, in the corporate realm, fostering strong relationships—be it with colleagues, clients, or stakeholders—is paramount for success. 💫Embracing Change: Just as Holi heralds the arrival of spring and the promise of new beginnings, the corporate world is constantly evolving. Embracing change, adapting to new technologies, and innovating are crucial for staying relevant and competitive. 💫Resilience and Optimism: Holi teaches us resilience as we weather the challenges of water balloons and colored powder with a smile. Similarly, in the corporate journey, resilience, coupled with optimism, helps us navigate through obstacles and emerge stronger. 💫Joy in Small Moments: Holi reminds us to find joy in simple pleasures—be it smearing colors or relishing sweets. Likewise, in our corporate endeavors, it's important to cherish small victories, appreciate milestones, and create moments of joy amidst busy schedules. As we celebrate Holi, let's embrace its spirit of inclusivity, camaraderie, and joy in our corporate endeavors. Let's paint our professional canvas with the vibrant hues of diversity, unity, and resilience. Wishing everyone a colorful and prosperous Holi! May our corporate journey be as enriching and joyous as the festivities we celebrate. #Holi #CorporateWorld #Diversity #Unity #Innovation #Resilience #Celebration #LinkedInImpact #eygds #successmindset

Rethinking Workplace Inclusivity The recent Easter weekend got me thinking about something seemingly simple: holiday greetings. In today's diverse workplaces, a one-size-fits-all approach like "Happy Holidays" might miss the mark. It made me wonder, are we truly building inclusive teams, or just going through the motions? Diversity and inclusion are hot topics, and rightly so. But what about celebrating the rich tapestry of cultures and backgrounds that make up your team? Here are a few ideas to bridge the gap: 1. Shared Experiences: Imagine a team celebrating Diwali with a delicious lunch or enjoying a short Korean film during a cultural day. These shared experiences foster empathy and understanding, building stronger, more connected teams. 2. Meaningful Connections: A generic holiday greeting might feel impersonal. Taking a moment to understand your colleagues' backgrounds shows genuine care and creates a space where everyone feels comfortable sharing their traditions. 3. Movement for Motivation: Creativity isn't just about sitting at a desk. Short bursts of movement, like a team walk or a quick stretch break, can spark fresh ideas and boost problem-solving skills. Building Bridges in Action I've seen firsthand how these simple practices can create a more inclusive and productive work environment. For example: 1. Breaking Down Silos: Shared experiences can bring teams together, fostering communication and breaking down departmental barriers. 2. Boosting Innovation: Movement and creative exercises get minds working outside the box, leading to innovative solutions and fresh perspectives. 3. Employee Well-being: A happy and healthy team is a productive team. Building a sense of community and well-being leads to a more engaged workforce. Let's Start a Conversation! Because building a truly inclusive workplace benefits everyone. Start with some actionable tips: Celebrate Cultural Events: Organize potlucks or team outings that showcase different cultures and traditions. Encourage Open Communication: Create a safe space for employees to share their backgrounds and experiences. Move More, Think More: Schedule short breaks for movement throughout the day. Do you have ideas to share on creating a more inclusive and vibrant workplace? Let's share and learn from each other in the comments below! And if you'd like to know more about our unique workshop structure, book a call with us, we'd love to have a chat with you! #corporatehealth #inclusivityanddiversity #culture #connectandcommunicate #celebratediversity #teamevents #bridgethegap #everyonematters #collectivewellbeing
