Compared to radial flux motors, axial flux motors offer a remarkable advantage: for the same output power, they boast a more compact design and lighter weight. This translates to significantly higher power efficiency, providing not just performance gains but also space savings for the overall vehicle layout.   Consider our 5.5 kW motor as a prime example. An asynchronous motor with equivalent power weighs 40 kg and has an axial length of 370 mm. In contrast, a standard PMSM motor of the same power weighs 20 kg and has an axial length of 200 mm. Now, introducing our axial flux motor—remarkably lightweight at just 9.7 kg and featuring a mere 87.5 mm axial length.
