Nothing beats a first hand perspective. The power of an electric car is that you can literally wake up charged every morning. Whether it’s a 110V outlet or a Level 2 charger, providing access to overnight charging and charging where vehicles are sitting parked (which is on average about 95% of the time) is how you unlock the major convenience and costs savings of having an EV.
Props to the WSJ for this piece on how easy it is to charge an EV and how much the author learned once he actually had access to one. "The fact that I didn’t need such a fast home charger at all was a minor revelation. It has fundamentally changed my view of the prospects of EV adoption in the U.S. In particular, what made my week of EV use possible was the relatively high real-world efficiency of this vehicle, as measured by how many miles it can travel for every unit of charge I put into it. This efficiency is a feature of many new EVs, and especially surprising given the fact that the EV9 has the dimensions and rough outline of a Chevy Suburban." https://lnkd.in/eC2Xt2Ni #EasyPeasy #ElectricVehicles
