One of the most [stressful, difficult, scary] parts of being a new technical recruiter is the "technical" part. When I first started, I choked on the phone. One time, I pretended the call dropped because I got flustered. I fumbled through tech questions and asked a senior software engineer if he knew what an API was (Yikes). I cried after a data scientist told me I OBVIOUSLY knew nothing about data science (I didn't). In this field, practice makes perfect. Talking to more technical people and studying various tools and technologies (and how they play into business) helps a ton, and eventually, you get more comfortable. But in the meantime - How can recruitment leaders help ease new recruiters into tech? ---> - Create a supportive environment and encourage lots of questions. - Make it fun! Have senior teammates share their experiences or explain a tool/technology/concept in a way that makes sense for them. Trivia is another fun way to enable learning! - Provide resources on tech and related topics. Bonus: Curate decks of skill-specific qualifying questions (based on seniority-level). - Game plan when they receive a new job order. Make sure they understand: Where this role falls in the organization, the responsibilities AND impact of the role, what skills are ~absolutely~ necessary, and what questions to ask to ensure the candidate is qualified. - Remember that learning is continuous. Tech recruiting is an ever-evolving field, so encourage your recruiters to stay up-to-date on trends in the market. Why should we learn data entry? Learning data entry can be a valuable skill for several reasons, depending on your career goals and personal circumstances. Here are some compelling reasons why learning data entry can be beneficial: 1. Employability: Many businesses and organizations require individuals who can accurately and efficiently input data into their systems. Learning data entry can make you more marketable to potential employers, as this skill is in demand in various industries such as healthcare, finance, retail, and customer service. 2. Entry-Level Job Opportunities: Data entry positions are often considered entry-level roles in many industries. Acquiring data entry skills can provide you with a foot in the door to start your career, gain work experience, and potentially move up the career ladder within an organization. 3.Remote Work Opportunities: Data entry work can often be done remotely, making it suitable for individuals who prefer or need to work from home or in a flexible environment. This can be particularly advantageous in situations where commuting to a physical workplace is not feasible. 4. Supplemental Income: If you're looking to earn extra money on the side, data entry gigs are commonly available as freelance or part-time opportunities. Many organizations outsource data entry tasks, and you can take on such projects to supplement your income. 5. Skill Diversification: Learning data entry can complement other skills you may have, such as proficiency in spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel. This combination of skills can make you more versatile and valuable in various roles that involve data management and analysis. 6. Improved Organizational Skills: Data entry requires attention to detail and accuracy. Practicing data entry can help you develop and enhance your organizational skills, which can be valuable in both professional and personal life. 7.Career Advancement: While data entry roles are often entry-level, they can serve as a stepping stone to other positions within an organization. Gaining experience and demonstrating your reliability and accuracy in data entry can open up opportunities for advancement within the company. In summary, learning data entry is a practical skill that can enhance your employability, provide job opportunities, and offer flexibility in terms of remote work. It can be a valuable addition to your skill set, whether you're looking for an entry-level job, supplemental income, or improved organization in your personal life. #Data entry #Data input #Data encoding #Data capture #Data processing #Data verification #Data management #Data cleansing #Data analysis #Data extraction #Data conversion #Data migration #Data cleansing #Data quality control #Data accuracy #Data validation #Data entry clerk #Keyboarding #Typing speed #Numeric data entry #Alphanumeric data entry #Online data entry #Offline data entry #Remote data entry #Excel data entry #Database data entry

Software Engineer | Backend Specialist | Expert in ReactJS, NodeJS, & TypeScript | PHP & Python | Innovating with AI & Automation 👨🏼💻 I help create robust applications that scale
Updated my work profile history 📝 to a detail on LinkedIn, Indeed, Word resume. Applying for jobs on Indeed redirects to various alternative websites which ask to fill manually last 4+ roles with - Title - Company - Name - Description - Dates (from - until) - etc.. An idea 💡 Hire Software Engineers 👨🏼💻 to solve that manual duplicate data entry! Applying for a job takes more time than actual interview 😆 ... Meanwhile AI is creating art 🎨.
