Tomorrow marks one week since the official ending of the #OlympicGames , but there's something I've been reflecting on that I wanted to share. The Games highlighted the value placed on sports in the USA, with the team outfitted in uniforms designed by Polo Ralph Lauren, which became a significant part of their marketing. However, this also underscores a clear disparity—while some teams enjoyed high-profile sponsorships, others competed without any support or recognition, revealing a deeper issue of representation and investment across nations. But disparity on this goes way beyond the uniforms and sports investment... As we look ahead to the Paralympics, I can't help but wonder: will these athletes receive the same level of attention and support? The spotlight shouldn't fade after the Olympics. There are many talented athletes heading to Paris who deserve our cheers and recognition. Sports are more than just competitions, just as fashion is more than just clothing. They both reflect the values, priorities, and inclusivity of our societies.

How to identify a gap and seize the opportunity- Rihanna Style ? The athletes were already filled with sponsorship from big names, the market was cluttered, So Team Fenty Beauty focused on volunteers who brought awards for the winners. They provided their make up kits to 600 volunteers and asked them to create a designated look with the help of the make-up artists. Fenty Beauty cleverly showcased their products in a refreshing way. This partnership with the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games was a strategic move to emphasize diversity, inclusivity, and global representation. It follows another successful integration during the 2023 Super Bowl halftime show, where Rihanna casually touched up her makeup with a Fenty product on stage. This spontaneous act led to an 833% increase in Google searches for the product, demonstrating the powerful impact of seamless brand integration. Unlike almost any other sporting event (except, maybe, the World Cup), the interesting thing about the Olympics is that attendees in the stands, like the athletes themselves, represent their country — even if unofficially. At least that’s how they are seen by locals. This means that if you are going to the Olympics, which are generally a little more formal than other big sporting events because of the history, ceremony, and mythology involved, a little more dressing up is required. Especially because this year’s Games are in Paris, where fashion is considered part of the patrimony and where more fashion brands than ever are involved in the actual events. And the events are sprinkled among monuments like the Eiffel Tower, the Grand Palais, and Versailles. I mean, even the medals are being gussied up in a Louis Vuitton box. That’s a pretty high bar. Unlike the athletes and the members of the official delegation, attendees do not have the security of a uniform to fall back on. Which means they have to invent one for themselves. So what to do, other than buy official team gear? I suggest wearing an elevated athleisure look.
