June is Uterine Cancer Awareness Month, and I’m really proud of the work my Padilla Health team did in partnership with the International Gynecologic Cancer Society to issue a global call-to-action to reduce the disparities in uterine cancer awareness, diagnosis, access to treatment and support for survivors. Uterine cancer has a high cure rate if diagnosed early, but despite all of our medical and scientific advancements, cases have increased 15% globally over the past 30 years. More alarming, cases are expected to rise about 50% by 2044. Even worse, people with a uterus in underrepresented racial and ethnic groups and/or low- and middle-income regions disproportionately face higher rates of and deaths from uterine cancer. We can all do something about this. Check out our call for action to learn how. #healthcare #healthcarepr #healthcarecommunications
