As a seasoned professional, ensuring your next role aligns with your values and work style is crucial. During interviews, ask: **"What are the common themes among your highest performers?"** This question not only reveals what it takes to excel at the company but also sheds light on what the hiring manager or team values. Evaluate whether their description of high performance aligns with your own. While some may prioritize long hours and job-first mentality, a more meaningful approach might emphasize **continuous professional growth and proactive involvement beyond job titles**. Align your next move with a company that values what you do. 🌟

Asking the right questions at interviews... I've been supporting Managers in the sector for almost 8 months now - I've seen countless interview processes and conducted countless preparations! My 3 Killer Questions of the week... 1. Do you have any reservations about my suitability to the role? With everyone I work with, this is the number one question I would recommend. I've used it myself in interviews! It's a great way to gather real time feedback, overcome any objections and strengthen any answers which may have been overlooked. 2. How would you describe the team dynamics and culture? Helps you understand the collaborative aspects of the workplace and if you'll be a good fit with your future colleagues. (The culture is responsible for the majority of managers exploring other opportunities and leaving their role!) 3. What does a typical day or week look like in this role? This helps you visualize the day-to-day responsibilities and expectations, showing your eagerness to understand the job. Happy to discuss these points further, don't hesitate to drop me a message for more!

🖍 When you are a seasoned professional not landing your first or second job, selecting the #rightcompany to join becomes quite a challenge. ❓How can you avoid the mistake of joining a company that does not match your expectations? The most straightforward way is by conducting reverse interviews. Depending on how uncertain you are, it could involve one interview or several. For the product-related aspect, I advise having at least two reverse interviews: one with your manager and another with the development team. Usually, you formulate your questions based on what you have yet to learn. Here's my personal shortlist of what is generally good to know: 🚩 - On Company Culture: Attitude towards failures, approach to risk, conflict resolution methods, frequency of feedback sharing. 🚩 🚩 - On Role Expectations: What success looks like in this role, expected accomplishments in 3-6-12 months, decision-making processes, which decisions I will have full ownership of. 🚩 🚩 🚩 - On Strategy & Execution: team familiarity with the company strategy, how the strategy was developed, and how initiatives are prioritized. 🚩 🚩 🚩 🚩 - On Metrics: Frequency of metric review, how often metrics are modified, team awareness of NS (KPIs). 🙂 What are other questions you recommend asking during a reverse interview? #careerdevelopment #interviewtips #productmanagement
