Coca-Cola has launched ‘it’s magic when the world comes together,’ a new brand campaign for the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024. Developed by WPP Open X led by Ogilvy and supported by EssenceMediacom, VML and Hogarth, the campaign celebrates the ‘Real Magic’ of human connection, inclusivity, cross-cultural connection and the collective power of sport to unify people and celebrate their differences. It's a great ad campaign. But I can't get my head around a sugary, zero nutrition drink linked to increased rates of diabetes and pancreatic cancer sponsoring the world's top sports event with top athletes who probably don't go near the stuff. So great campaign, but if only we advertised the right stuff.
