In Siegel's inquiry-driven approach to grantmaking, the emphasis lies heavily on the process, values, and questions posed, rather than fixating on predetermined answers. It's a dynamic, iterative process, commencing and concluding with meticulous questioning and refinement of those inquiries. In embodying this ethos, this spring the Siegel Research Team embarked on a journey to articulate the "10 big questions" they deemed crucial for comprehending the myriad challenges and opportunities confronting us all. They mapped questions spanning from civic knowledge and democracy, to climate and AI and inequality. But, spoiler alert: Their journey of questioning is far from over, and instead of reaching a conclusion, it has sparked even more inquiries. I'm still buzzing from my poster presentation at the International Conference in Cognitive Science - CogSci 2024 in Rotterdam, Netherlands! It was an incredible experience to share my research with fellow cognitive science enthusiasts from around the world. My presentation showcased a computational modeling approach using the Clarion Cognitive Architecture to understand self-control. I'm thrilled to have had the opportunity to contribute to the advancement of cognitive science and provide a unified process-based framework for understanding this complex phenomenon. The Connecticut State Library in partnership with TFSX was awarded an Institute of Museum and Library Services 2-year $285,000 extension of our nationally recognized Transformation for Libraries: The Futures School project. During the original grant period, the Transformation for Libraries project has focused on individuals and will ultimately result in the successful training of over 400 members of the library workforce; however, there continues to be a large demand from the field for additional training opportunities and to contextualize Strategic Foresight inside a more organizational perspective.  All Cohorts have been claimed but you can still learn about Natural Foresight from our network, our partners and your friends at the CT State Library Division of Library Development.
