Perhaps unsurprisingly, F1 seems to be the loudest spectator sport with cars producing 130dB, which is quite staggering compared to the maximum level in the Control of Noise at Work Regulations of 85dB. Interestingly, the article suggests that this is nearly twice the level, when in fact decibels being a funny scale actually means 130dB is more like 32,000 times more than 85! With the Euro’s in full swing, amd England through to the final 16, it is also interesting to read that football stadiums can be very noisy places, especially with capacity crowds cheering on a national team. Currently Galatasaray holds the record at 131dB – let’s not make that a challenge! https://lnkd.in/ebQwiSMW

🏁 Exciting news for motorsport enthusiasts! The latest tech magazine covering the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix is now live on Osservatore Sportivo ‘s website, featuring my in-depth analysis on Williams Racing performance and the Visa Cash App RB F1 Team team. Written in collab with Fulvio Conti Here's a sneak peek: 🏎️ Williams: The 2024 single-seater innovations for this team primarily revolve around suspension geometry. They've opted for the anti-squat and anti-dive systems, enhancing stability and performance during acceleration and braking. 🐂 Racing Bulls: Purchasing half of the car from the reigning World Champion team didn't yield the expected results. Despite having key components from last year's championship-winning car, it's evident that success requires more than just hardware—it demands a cohesive and efficient team effort. Check out the full articles for deeper insights into the dynamics of these teams and their strategies on the track! #F1 #SaudiArabianGP #TechAnalysis 🏁🔍

BWT Alpine F1 Team heads to the Marina Bay Street Circuit for Round 18 of the 2024 FIA Formula 1 World Championship, the #SingaporeGP. Where night racing all started for Formula 1. - Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly preview the Singapore Grand Prix. - Alpine Academy’s Abbi Pulling returns for Round 5 of F1 Academy. Esteban Ocon: “Singapore is always an incredible challenge for all of the drivers. The heat adds an extra element to prepare for and that makes it a very physically demanding weekend, especially race day. It is a night race which I am excited for. The last night race we had was Saudi Arabia at the start of the season, so I am looking forward to racing under the lights in Singapore. It is also my birthday week, which is always nice to be able to share with the team. Hopefully we are able to maximise on any opportunities presented to us and bring back a good result to celebrate." Pierre Gasly: “We are right back at it at another extreme track in Singapore this weekend and I really love the race there. The Marina Bay Circuit is always one of the hardest challenges of the season. The hot conditions make the long lap very physically demanding on the body and, as drivers, we need to train and adapt for the heat and during the weekend make sure our core body temperature stays normal. Driving under the lights in such an iconic city is so cool, though. The street track will hopefully present opportunities that we can capitalise on as we aim for points on Sunday. As a team, we are targeting a better weekend than Baku and hopefully return to a Circuit Zandvoort level of performance." How about a loop the loop part of the track that would sort out a different perspective as applied to down force. Or perhaps get rid of a few rules and allow total innovation have a maximum length, width, total all up weight including driver then anything else goes including type and size of PowerPoint etc electric ,hydrogen coal ,steam let natural forces and innovation lead that would be exciting

Yesterday I was part of a panel discussing the next 10 years of motorsport... I always find gazing into the future a really valuable task as it opens up space for dreaming & imagination, but also is a great way to identify potential challenges & opportunities ahead of time. The best #F1 teams always have an eye on the future as well as being laser focussed on the present.

Does anyone else think that the FIA should introduce a mandated 1 hour window at the end of every remaining afternoon Pre-Season Testing session where all the teams have to run Quali fuel loads, engine modes and C4s for at least 3 flying laps so that we can give the Constructors’ and Driver’s championships to Red Bull and Max Verstappen already and skip to 2025? Jokes aside, should F1 strike to make testing more exciting for newer fans with laptimes that are more ‘representative’ and ‘relevant’ or should the good old charm of ‘sandbagging’ be retained? #f1testing #bahraintest #formula1 #f1

Exciting news!! The latest edition of the Os tech Magazine is here. Fulvio Conti and I explored the Hungarian Grand Prix from Williams Racing and Visa Cash App RB F1 Team's point of view. Here is a sneak peek of the two articles: 🏎️ Williams: "Up until the end of the 2023 season, Williams was known for having a super-efficient car. The Grove-based squad then decided to ditch the efficiency concept and instead focus on finding load points within the floor. However, the question that comes to mind is the following: why did the team decide to change the concept of the car, considering that the current technical regulations end in 2025?" 🐂 Racing Bulls: "The rear of the VCARB01 car is outsourced directly from the 2023 Championship- winning Red Bull car. The Italian crew then manu- facturers the other components of the car in- house and does the best possible job with the materials that they have at their disposal".
