Gosh, you've made such a powerful and descriptive statement. So much there and it punches really hard. I love the use of the visual imagery - and the contrasts between light and dark describing internal and external conflicts - similarly the differences in sound too. All the metaphors work so well. The film needs the biggest audience - your experience, your work deserves it! Thank you

The promised reform of the outdated Mental Health Act 1983 is not just overdue—it's essential. It's vital that the Government places mental health at the heart of its agenda to ensure that everyone affected by OCD receives the treatment they need, when they need it.     • A Silence That Speaks Volumes Today's King’s Speech excluded vital reforms to the Mental Health Act, overlooking a critical opportunity to change the way the system responds to people experiencing mental health crises.     • In the last 40 years, our understanding of mental health has significantly evolved, yet the Mental Health Act of 1983 remains unchanged.

It is time for our laws to catch up; to reflect modern approaches to treatment, to tackle the racial injustice that the current Act exacerbates, and to find ways to give voice and choice to those often less heard under the current law, including young people.

The government committed to this work in 2017 and 2019, and much of the roadmap for change has been planned, making the silence on the reform of the Act in today's speech even more disappointing.     • Joining with organisations across the sector, OCD Action will continue to fight for the reform of the Mental Health Act.

And while there may have been a delay in securing this today, we will continue to work for the change that is required and for the services and treatment that everyone affected by OCD deserves.
