Globally, just data centers currently consume 460 terawatt-hours (TWh) of electricity annually, equivalent to Germany's total energy output! In the US, data center electricity consumption is projected to triple from 2.5% in 2022 to 7.5% by 2030, equivalent to the energy used by 40 million US homes. We will need all the efficiency we can get!
