What is H2eart for Europe? 🤝 H2eart for Europe is an EU-wide, CEO-led alliance committed to accelerating the decarbonisation of the European energy system at the lowest cost to society by scaling up the deployment of underground hydrogen storage (UHS). We are committed to invest in scaling up #UHS infrastructure to meet the flexibility demand of a decarbonised energy system relying on large quantities of intermittently produced renewable energy. 🌍 Europe Breaks Records in Offshore Turbines! 🌊 2023 was a monumental year for offshore wind energy in Europe, with 4.2 GW of new capacity coming into operation (+40% compared to 2022) which allows the generation of clean energy from turbines installed at sea, both on fixed and floating platforms. ⚡ Investment in offshore technology also hit new highs in 2023, reaching €30 billion for eight new wind parks, adding up to 9 GW of new capacity.
