At the Nordex Group, we are excited by the speed with which the new UK Government is moving in its commitment to the nation’s ambitious #NetZero targets. Just a week after the Chancellor lifted the ban on onshore wind projects in England, the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero has announced the formation of a joint government-industry taskforce whose aim is to help speed up the deployment of onshore wind; this will help to cut energy bills and increase the UK’s energy independence and security. The Onshore Wind Industry Taskforce will work not only to identify barriers and hurdles to onshore projects, but will foster more prominent solutions for onshore wind in the region. We are honored to have been asked to join this Taskforce and our MD for the UK & Ireland, Jason Welch is looking forward to working closely with the Government and our industry colleagues on developing effective solutions for onshore wind in the UK. #TeamNordexUK #OnShore #TaskForce #NetZero #EnergyTransition #UKWind #DESNZ

We should learn to leave nature alone by having production and consumption sites in the same place (e.g. cities, industrial areas and buildings). In this way, the double destruction of nature and urban areas can be avoided and much less energy transport will be needed. In addition, following our solution will help make the world more peaceful. It is well known that most wars are fought over resources. https://youtu.be/x0nuCIOGvLs?si=PPBJGVsRGwuqnW6T

Working together as one to unblock challenges to quickly reach positive outcomes that people get to see the benefit, environmentaly but also financially. It’s the people in the street that will drive the right traction. Not just government and manufacturers and suppliers, but the people join up the dots. Nordex and government needs to keep focus on the last part of a successful relationship - people. What’s the benefit to people - day to day!

I am from south Africa port Elizabeth coega idz was building wind turbines for vestas nordex siemens etc but company closed down due to late signing of ipp and apps between our government and eskom delaying the process now i am trying to be part of nordex team south Africa

Shut down the nuclear reactors and let the wind blow. France is close, if there is no wind.

Well done Jason, I am sure that the government will benefit from your knowledge about the industry and how best to drive the onshore wind economy.
