This Pride month, we gathered with comedy fans and special guests from local nonprofits, including GLAAD, Comedy Gives Back, and The Trevor Project for a special screening of Outstanding: A Comedy Revolution, the first feature-length documentary to explore the history of queer stand-up comedy. Director Page Hurwitz, emcee Dave Holmes, and several of the documentary’s subjects hosted along with special standup performances from Robin Tran and Solomon Georgio. The event was part of our Egyptian Theatre screening series, Hollywood Pride: Queer Lives on the Silver Screen, showcasing films across nearly a century of Hollywood filmmaking, charting the progression of queer representation in movies. https://lnkd.in/gcsadvHT
