ICYMI: This is a fantastic episode to listen to going into the long weekend. Retired Justice Strathy does an excellent job discussing the challenges lawyers face when trying to protect their mental health. His explanation of what the practice of law was like when he practiced sounds much more civilized (mostly because they were not constantly available). Every time I listen to this podcast I get extremely emotional. He just gets it. He rightly advocates that it’s the senior lawyers and firm partners that need to change the culture, young changemakers cannot do everything. I also like his warning that if there is not change, there should be a revolution. The only two points I would add to his excellent remarks that I see as new sources of stress for today’s young lawyers. 1. Most families have two working spouses, not a stay at home wife taking care of things. 2. With many law students graduating so much debt, paying for child care and other help with domestic tasks are a bit of a luxury that not everyone can afford. Many people are working very hard at very large firms in big cities and not feeling financially stable. Please listen, share and discuss.

"How to have a fully functioning society and economy?" I cannot recommend this dude more. Scott Galloway is a straight shooter who doesn't bullsh*t, is clear, and is direct about markets, money, building wealth, saving, and spending. His podcast, Prof G Markets, is a refreshing drink of water. His TED talk is inspiring, and motivating, but frankly frightening.
