As parents, we often think about how we can help our children succeed. We try to accept them for who they are and then along the way we give them the building blocks to enable their learning. Now when we think about long-term success, what about financial education? Providing kids with financial education from a young age sets them up for independence later in life. If we can encourage conversation about financial topics – especially with girls – then when money for the ice cream truck evolves into a paycheck, they have the knowledge to invest that paycheck and sit in the driver's seat to create the future they want. #FinancialLiteracyMonth

The responsibility of educating our children lies primarily with parents. The education system is designed to make us consumers, not critical thinkers. Knowledge is power, and it starts at home. We must teach our children essential life skills like financial literacy and money management. It's not about material possessions or proving our worth to others. We need to prioritize saving for the future and being financially stable. Let's break the cycle of financial instability and ensure our loved ones are taken care of. #HowMoneyWorks #Wealthwave #EducationSystem #ParentalResponsibility #FinancialLiteracy #TeachYourChildren #BreakTheCycle

Schools don’t teach you about financial literacy. Instead, we’re taught a bunch of stuff we rarely use in day-to-day life. How many of us used to ask our teachers, “When will we ever use xyz?” 😂 Later on, we face things like credit scores, mortgages, taxes (not that I advocate for any of them), and many other realities that hit us unexpectedly. What they don’t tell you is that a credit score is just an excuse to go into debt, but you’d think it’s there to help. Who else was hit with the realities of adult life and didn’t expect many of the things thrown at them? Let’s start addressing the lack of financial education. How can we better prepare ourselves and the next generation? #FinancialLiteracy #Adulting #EducationReform #LifeSkills #FinancialFreedom
