University of Mount Saint Vincent’s Post

Have you met one of our newest alums, Kaylee Price? Kaylee Price ’24 is a remarkable example of hard work and determination. Drawn to the Mount because of its supportive environment, the generous scholarships she received, and the close-knit campus community, she felt from day one that the University would soon become her second home, just like it had for her mom, Lori O’Neill Price ’90. A Yonkers native and recent graduate, Kaylee was the Vice President and Social Media Manager of the Mount’s Accounting Society; a member of both Delta Mu Delta and Kappa Gamma Pi, the Business Administration and Catholic Honors Societies; and a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success. It didn’t end there. She interned with New York Life Insurance, where she participated in various professional development sessions, researched excess loan history, and much more. She also served as a student worker in the Mount’s Finance Department, gaining knowledge and hands-on experience in accounting principles and general business practices.  Despite immersing herself in all things business at the Mount, Kaylee initially pursued nursing before discovering that her true passion was in business administration and finance. This realization, along with the valuable guidance and resources from her professors and mentors, prompted her to change her academic path, ultimately leading her to a future career as an accountant in the Mount's Finance Department, where she will begin this summer. Both her dedication to her studies and her familial connection to the Mount have played a significant role in shaping her academic and personal achievements. “The Mount has been a supportive environment for me to grow over the last four years,” Kaylee said. “I didn’t know what I wanted to do until I got here, and everything sort of fell into place.” Kaylee’s experience serves as a remarkable illustration of how the Mount empowers students to find their true passions and supports them along their journey. With the help of the dedicated faculty and staff, as well as the generous donations from the alumnae/i community, Kaylee had the opportunity to explore her academic interests and pursue her ambitions. Her success story underscores the profound impact of alumnae/i giving, enabling deserving students to explore their interests and achieve their career aspirations.  Support the UMSV student experience before June 30th using the link below. https://lnkd.in/e5BE4dc7
