Today, #YouGotPower extends further, as MN8 formally launches its Distributed Energy Solutions (DES) offering. We're launching DES to support the needs of businesses and communities working to decarbonize their operations and support the rapid adoption of #electricvehicles. Launched today at the start of the ACT Expo / ACT News, DES' initial focus is on transportation electrification, marrying #publiccharging and #fleetelectrification with distributed carbon-free energy solutions. With DES, MN8 aims to deliver scalable, fully financed, turnkey projects that are not only environmentally responsible but also economically viable, helping customers achieve both #sustainability and financial goals. The Olympics are just around the corner and this year we’re cheering for more than just the athletes as we celebrate the #ParisOlympics going for gold in sustainability! This year’s games are focused on utilizing #renewableenergy and limiting carbon emissions. From using LED technology for lighting to installing solar panels on the roof of the new aquatic center, Paris is finding creative paths to reducing the games’ energy consumption. Past host cities have relied heavily on diesel generators to supply electricity to stadiums and the athletes’ village. This year, Paris has decided to connect these venues to the already-existing electricity network, using renewable energy 100% generated in France to support the network during this period. The focus on renewable energy will result in an 80% reduction in energy-related carbon emissions compared to the past model of diesel generators. As we cheer on our athletes this summer, it’s important to remember that we all share this planet and must also work together to ensure we have a sustainable future. Shuck yeah! Our amazing team in New York headed across the East River to Governor’s Island twice over the last month to volunteer with the Billion Oyster Project . The Billion Oyster Project is on a mission to restore oyster reefs in the New York Harbor. Because oysters are filter feeders, each one filters gallons of water daily, improving #waterquality, creating artificial reefs that help protect NYC’s shorelines from storm surges, and contributing to a healthier, more vibrant #ecosystem. During our visits, the MN8 groups had the opportunity to pool efforts for the cause. We had a great time getting our hands dirty together, learning more about the restoration effort and seeing the impact of our work firsthand. Thank you to the Billion Oyster Project for having us. We are honored to play a part in such a fantastic initiative!

#Juneteenth commemorates the anniversary of June 19, 1865 – when the news of freedom arrived in Texas and reached the last remaining enslaved individuals.    Today is a day of celebration, marking the end of chattel slavery in the United States and the freedom of future generations. The #EVcharging network we're building with Mercedes-Benz High-Power Charging is aiming for one goal: a high-speed, high-quality, best-in-class experience. With that, we're proud to share that our network is adding the Alpitronic Hypercharger 400 to its offerings. The Hypercharger 400 offers customers a reliable experience with up to 400kW charging and support for a wide output voltage range. The first units will be available at Mercedes-Benz High-Power Charging sites beginning in Q3 2024, with both CCS and NACS cables available across the network later this year. These high-power chargers are also growing the range of #EVinfrastructure produced in the United States, made by Alpitronic in Wisconsin. This partnership represents the next step in our shared commitment to uplift the public charging experience and bolster investment in the clean energy and transportation economy.

Which road trip stop has spotless bathrooms, the best jerky selection on the interstate... and plentiful EV charging?? We're talking about Buc-ee's, Ltd., the iconic gas station chain that is fast becoming a strong set of #EVcharging hubs, in partnership with MN8 Energy and Mercedes-Benz High-Power Charging. The chargers at Buc-ee's are part of the 400+ charging hub network that our two companies are working to deploy by 2030. Our partnership is placing hubs in key areas of #electricvehicle saturation, as well as along key travel corridors and #EV charging deserts. With chargers already operating at a dozen locations in #Texas, #Alabama, #Georgia, #Florida, #South Carolina, #Tennessee, and #Kentucky, Buc-ee's says adding EV charging is part of its push to “redefine the pit stop” and "electrify key gaps along popular travel routes to facilitate longer distance travel."
