A direct expression of a collection inspired by people’s lives, the Miu Miu Fall/Winter 2024 campaign draws on the vocabulary of wardrobe from childhood through maturity, from the masculine to the feminine, the formal to the informal. How does clothing affect the people wearing it and how do they affect clothing by return.
Directed by Zoë Ghertner, the multidisciplinary cast includes #CaraDelevingne, #Minnie, #CaitlinSoetendal, #LittleSimz and #CharlotteCardin.
Creative direction by Edward Quarmby.
Styled by Lotta Volkova.

The Miu Miu Fall/Winter 2024 campaign beautifully captures the interplay between clothing and identity. How do you think each cast member's unique style influences the campaign's narrative?

right... now this is ALWAYS a sensitive topic, why?? Ladies and Gents, when you are going to work please 🙏 no one wants to see breasts, lots of thigh or butt cracks..
Leggings is not work attire unless you are wearing a dress, over, they are not pants and far too revealing! Guys and gals- no one wants to see what tights show- especially in the office or at clients.
Crop tops in not professional ware,
Mini skirts not professional ware,
Low cut tops, short dresses, track suits are not what you ware to the office.
Business etiquette in behavior and dress code is essential. You may want to EXPRESS your self with clothes, however some of the outfits I have seen in offices- also reason why I'm brought in as a consultant is to bring accross the professional etiquette of speech 💬 and dress codes, oh and guys, a gym vest is a no no for the office or work place.
Respect yourself and others enough - if what you are waring to customers or office is something you would not ware in front of your grandparents- then don't ware it to the office.

The Undeniable Importance of Diversity and Inclusion in the Men's Fashion Industry.
Breaking Barriers, Celebrating Authenticity
The world of fashion is a reflection of the diverse tapestry of human existence. Embracing diversity isn't just a trend; it's an imperative. As we carve our path in the realm of men's fashion, we recognize the power of celebrating authenticity in all its forms.
Unleashing Creativity through Inclusivity
Inclusion isn't merely about representation; it's about fostering an environment where all voices are heard and all stories are woven into the fabric of our brand. It's about giving space for creativity to flourish, drawing inspiration from the myriad of cultures and perspectives that grace our world.
A Global Runway of Cultures and Styles
At the heart of Giovaan, we've embraced diversity as a driving force. Our designs honor cultural traditions, while our silhouettes and patterns speak a universal language. From traditional Indian motifs to contemporary global trends, our collections mirror the rich mosaic of our planet.
Empowerment through Fashion
Diversity and inclusion empower not only individuals but also the collective human experience. Through fashion, we extend a hand of acceptance and empowerment, acknowledging that each person's unique style adds to the vibrant symphony of our industry.
The Journey Ahead: Weaving Diversity into the Fabric
As we move forward, Giovaan is committed to advancing the cause of diversity and inclusion in men's fashion. Our runway is open to all, our designs are a canvas for myriad expressions, and our ethos stands as a testament to the power of unity in style.
Let us celebrate the beauty of diversity, embrace the richness of cultures, and together, shape a men's fashion industry that echoes the inclusive spirit of our times.

I like it when people start to speak poetic about their field of work https://lnkd.in/dsNMe8kS. I also have some poetic feelings about fashion, but with a bit different perspective. For me, as an ex-biologist, that deeply inside is never 'ex', fashion is attractive because it is a miniature of biological evolution.
I was always inspired by the fact that the world is logical, but in the our-size universe, there are two main types of logic: 1) mathematical - what is commonly taken as 'logic', and 2) evolutionary - that is built on chaos, the second law of the thermodynamics, and irreversibility of the past.
Being created by the human mind, clothing follows the laws of nature. Evolutionary but not mathematical logic. It behaves like the part of the body, like our second skin that develops according to climate, social, historical, and other complicated environmental conditions. Being the way to protect our bodies, express hierarchical status, live, and communicate it's shaped in a way that tells us the story about the past and the whole way from 'then' to 'now'.
Evolutionary logic has a huge explanatory but very little predictive power. All the predictions are always very blurry and rarely proven to be right. And maybe it's not bad because we, humans, like the sense of novelty. We like to find new ways in the landscape of possible decisions. Being future-blind gives us the chance to see the light again and again. And it is so inspiring to see how the human mind solves new riddles and finds new solutions for something that has been with us for ages.
Another interesting and evolution-connected point of fashion is the excess. And that is also so biological! The common perception of Darwinian models of evolution is always concentrated on selection. But for me, the core that we always need to look at is the excess of the substrate. Natural selection is just the way how the overwhelming power of life squeezes through the deadly landscape of the unwelcoming world. Losing the mass and energy but acquiring the new shape. For me, it's not the tool to find the best solution rather than a traumatic trace of the past. But these traumas become a structure, individuality, strength, and uniqueness.
The excess of fashion productions is what we are talking about a lot today while developing the concepts of sustainable fashion, secondary fashion, and digital fashion. For us today this kind of excess is an ecological problem, and that is absolutely true. But for the future shape of the closing, it can be something that will melt into new aesthetics, new shapes, new social relationships, and who-knows-what-else.
I like fashion because it's so understandable when we look at the past and so unclear when we try to guess what is coming. Because it's the continuation of our biological body. Because it's something that everyone can create and experiment with.
In the tapestry of fashion, the woman's body is the canvas, where every curve and contour is a silent whisper of potential, awaiting the gentle touch of dressmaking to bring forth a symphony of style. It's a dance between fabric and form, where the soft draping of a dress become an extension of her essence. Each stitch, a verse; each dress, a poem woven from the threads of creativity and grace. In this delicate balance, fashion transcends mere clothing, becoming a celebration of femininity and strength, a testament to the artistry that adorns the diverse landscape of the female form.

As #conglomerates take the lead of the fashion ecosystem, luxury is becoming more and more an adjective to the industry.
As said by watch reporter Allen Farmelo in his latest article for the Robb Report: “There is a known tension between those who believe watches are fashion items and those who uphold that watches are more than, better than, and beyond fashion.”
The recent increase seen in hard luxury by traditional fashion maisons doesn't come as a surprise (i.e., Louis Vuitton's La Fabrique du Temps and increased presence in the space with TAG Heuer). Fashion is trying to appeal to the 'lux' sentiment and clientele more and more as inflation rises, and aspirational #shoppers think twice about where they #invest their #money.
However, as Farmelo highlights in his article, the watch space has been traditionally a male led space (which has slowed down in the last 2 years). Nonetheless, the opportunity presented by fashion's experiential marketing battle to appeal to VIC's appears to be driving this market up again, this time with a female-led twist.
After #oldmoney and #silentluxury trends drove record earnings are longtime heritage brands #Zegna and Cucinelli (often aimed more towards men). #CEO's and luxury analysts might have just struck gold by transferring the same heritage #strategy aimed at women, who are projected to control 75% of discretionary spending in the next 5 years.
I'm excited and equally inquisitive about where this space will go, mostly as it revolves around community. Hopefully sparking new conversations and bringing more women into the sector!

The 1990s were marked by an unprecedented phenomenon - that of the SUPERMODELS.
Four extraordinary women dominated runways and magazine covers worldwide, leaving an indelible mark on fashion and pop culture: Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford, and Christy Turlington.
These iconic women were not alone in their triumph.
Behind the scenes, there was a court of exceptional talents: legendary photographers like Steven Meisel and Herb Ritts and Peter Lindbergh, prominent fashion magazines like Vogue, and visionary designers like Gianni Versace and KARL LAGERFELD.
Together, they created a golden era in #fashion, defining a style and aesthetics that continue to inspire generations to this day.
The SUPERMODELS of the 1990s were not just beautiful faces but also women of strength, determination, and grit. They challenged stereotypes and paved the way for greater diversity and inclusion in the fashion industry.
Today, we celebrate not only their timeless beauty but also their lasting impact on fashion and society. These women and their collaborators changed the game and teach us that success comes from passion, dedication, and the courage to be oneself.
And finally, a documentary series will be aired on Apple TV+ to illustrate this era of dreams and excesses.
