https://lnkd.in/d3_JkrEw Listen to: Chapter 4 of “Computational Intelligence: From Theory to Application” explores augmented optical flow methods for video stabilization, focusing on eliminating jitter and improving image clarity. The proposed method, Type 2 Fuzzy Gaussian Pyramid Optical Flow (T2FGPOF), uses fuzzy logic to optimize the Gaussian pyramid settings, which enhances optical flow calculations for video stabilization. Experimental results show that the method outperforms traditional techniques, reducing motion-related issues like blur and large motions, particularly on challenging datasets like the SINTEL benchmark. The chapter emphasizes the role of fuzzy logic and Gaussian pyramids in achieving smoother, stabilized video frames. https://lnkd.in/dZvXaHky

📢 Excited to share our latest blog post on the categorical theory of composition methods in finite model theory. This extended version presents a comprehensive account of the crucial results required by composition methods and their implications for modular reasoning about complex structures. Our parametric theorems naturally encompass various classes of models, logics, and operations, shedding light on surprising connections to the theory of monads. 📢 Just published a new blog post on edge-averaged virtual element methods for convection-diffusion and convection-dominated problems. Learn how these methodologies effectively address convection-diffusion problems in the convection-dominated regime and ensure monotonicity on Voronoi polygonal meshes. The post also outlines a comprehensive framework for EAVE methodologies and presents numerical experiments confirming their theoretical advantages.
