Studies routinely find that men are less likely to seek preventive care than women. During National Men’s Health Month, let’s team up to remind men to stay on top of their health. Dr. Bitner was back on Fox this morning, but not for a women’s health segment! June is Men’s Health Month, so Elliot Grandia and Dr. Bitner spoke about the importance of men caring for their health and knowing when to take action before it’s too late. Key takeaway: Just like for women, many chronic illnesses men experience are preventable. If you want to live a long life, know that what you do at 50 predicts how you will be at 70! https://bit.ly/4e2MkyF #MensHealthMonth #MensHealth

This week is Men's Health Week! And we've got our staff, and the independent Doctors here, all getting involved. 💚 Whilst the official focus is on "Men's Health Checks" we also wanted to make sure we remind all men to be kind to themselves and their health! 💚 Unfortunately, it's some of these men's health facts that contribute to men dying in greater numbers than women from almost every non-sex-specific health problem. #menshealthweek #menshealth #menshealthmatters #bekindtoyourhealth

A person's #health is determined by more than just pure #medical care. A growing body of research and evidence (for example see: https://lnkd.in/gw4dTUXc) support that a number of other factors, commonly referred to as the "social determinants of health" or #SDoH, directly influence a person’s or community’s health status. This new report from the Convergence Center for Policy Resolution is a valuable read, and an important collaborative effort to identify specific, meaningful, and actionable steps that can be taken to address and improve individual social factors. These factors are influenced by how well services are integrated, who is available to deliver these services, how data are shared across service providers, and of course, how they are paid for, all of which this report examines in depth. Kudos to Caryn Hederman, Stuart M Butler PhD and Marcela Cabello for bringing together such a high-octane group of industry experts to help make progress in this critical component of health! #SDoH #health #healthcare #HRSN
Worth reading: Convergence Collaborative on Social Factors of Health builds on the efforts of many Collaborative members and other policy collaborations and alliances to improve household and community-level health by addressing individual social factors of health. Here, Collaborative members map out consensus solutions—focused on administrative and statutory policies at federal and state levels—to create the best policy environment for upstream initiatives to address this issue: https://lnkd.in/ejMA2Pst

This week is Men's Health Week and it serves as a reminder of the importance of proactive health management. In Australia, males are 2.4 times more likely to die from preventable causes compared to females. These deaths underscore the need for awareness, education, and action. By fostering open dialogue, encouraging regular check-ups, and embracing healthy lifestyle choices, the burden of disease can be reduced. At Vision, we're committed to providing the highest standard of diagnostic imaging services to support your health journey. From early detection to ongoing monitoring, our goal is to empower you with the information you need to make decisions about your health. Join us in commemorating Men's Health Week 2024. Together, let's break barriers, challenge stigmas, and prioritise health for a brighter, healthier future. #MensHealthWeek #VisionForHealth
