AGAIN another attempt to trivialize the danger of new engineered microbiota strains emerging through manipulation of native microbiota (read #Synthetic_biology)! Wondering, why the dangers of such possible irreversible approaches are not sufficiently taken into account. Hopefully, such changes in nature will not lead to the biggest man-made problem in history and the next generations will not consider our generation as criminals ! It is really difficult to fight against this negligence, especially when one has the impression that the causal relationships have already been clarified. :-(( FDA European Commission European Medicines Agency World Health Organization Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) 1- What happens to these bacteria after they have done their job? 2- It is almost impossible to adjust a specific continuous microbiota dose (eLBP). How should their dependence on various factors be controlled and adjusted? 3- Should we expect such bacteria to become new members of our microbiome in a few years? 4- May it lead to or predispose to new diseases for any possible natural host, known or unknown? 5- How can they be eradicated from nature in such a scenario? 6- Can't the functional metabolite be produced and used directly? 7- Should we really alter nature to achieve new treatment options? 8- Despite chemical medications, such strains may escape into new host even during production and spread before any approvals. how should that be managed? 9- How can we be so sure that such changes do not pose short- and long-term threats to people and nature? 10- Isn't it safer to first try to know and understand the microbiome world and its causative roles in chronic diseases, and then after that try to find an appropriate treatment? 11- What if only the targeted eradication of the specific possible pathobiomes (microbiota, mycobiota and viruses) in such chronic diseases would solve the problem?
