Any technical development in any field integrate with gis affect directly in gis lastly Technical development in surveying devices and their accuracy helped the system obtain more accurate data sources this Point clouds are datasets that represent objects or space. These points represent the X, Y, and Z geometric coordinates of a single point on an underlying sampled surface. Point clouds are a means of collating a large number of single spatial measurements into a dataset that can then represent a whole. When colour information is present, the point cloud becomes 4D. Point clouds are most commonly generated using 3D laser scanners and LiDAR (light detection and ranging) technology and techniques. Here, each point represents a single laser scan measurement. These scans are then stitched together, creating a complete capture of a scene, using a process called ‘registration’.

Drone-based remote sensing has evolved rapidly in recent years. Miniaturized hyperspectral imaging sensors are becoming more common as they provide more abundant information of the object compared to traditional cameras. Reflectance is a physically defined object property and therefore often preferred output of the remote sensing data capture to be used in the further processes. Absolute calibration of the sensor provides a possibility for physical modelling of the imaging process and enables efficient procedures for reflectance correction. Our objective is to develop a method for direct reflectance measurements for drone-based remote sensing. It is based on an imaging spectrometer and irradiance spectrometer. This approach is highly attractive for many practical applications as it does not require in situ reflectance panels for converting the sensor radiance to ground reflectance factors. We performed SI-traceable spectral and radiance calibration of a tuneable Fabry-Pérot Interferometer -based (FPI) hyperspectral camera at the National Physical Laboratory NPL (Teddington, UK). The camera represents novel technology by collecting 2D format hyperspectral image cubes using time sequential spectral scanning principle. The radiance accuracy of different channels varied between ±4% when evaluated using independent test data, and linearity of the camera response was on average 0.9994. The spectral response calibration showed side peaks on several channels that were due to the multiple orders of interference of the FPI. The drone-based direct reflectance measurement system showed promising results with imagery collected over Wytham Forest (Oxford,UK). #SpecialistDroneServices #SmartFarming #SustainableAg #Canada #exports #best_clip #technology #Iranian_resident_in_Canada #new #farm #farminghashtag #farmerhashtag #farmercanadahashtag #Agriculturaldronehashtag #Agriculturalhashtag #drone

In these days, the AIAA SCITECH 2024 Forum published a paper entitled as “Characterization of Saturated Absorption Lines in Rubidium for Use as an Actively Controlled Atomic Filter“ Abstract Precise wind velocity measurements are of interest for a variety of applications including weather forecasting and detection of clean air turbulence and wind shear. This work investigates a concept known as spectral hole burning to create an actively tunable atomic vapor filter in order to improve the resolution of LIDAR wind velocity profiling. By adjusting the frequency and intensity of a pump beam in an alkali vapor cell, steep slopes in the transmission profile may be used to monitor shifts in frequency of a probe beam. A three-level atomic model to simulate the spectral hole is described and validated experimentally through pump-probe spectroscopy. The model then optimizes parameters including cell length, cell temperature, pump intensity and pump frequency to find the steepest transmission slope obtainable. At this location, frequency resolutions of 0.69 MHz are predicted per 1% change in transmission, corresponding to a 0.27 m/s velocity sensitivity. From this information, the feasibility and limitations of using spectral hole burning as a controllable atomic filter for LIDAR velocimetry measurements are discussed. This Figure shows the possible mechanisms for atoms to transfer between states that are considered in the model.

This is a great post that comprehensively reviews the 360 mobile mapping camera hardware field in 2024. It would be great to add a table of standard features alongside each product, so you can compare at a glance like for like. If I had any wishes for new hardware, it would be for onboard hot-swappable SSD storage, integrated RTK GPS and IMU, live stitching/blurring and a complete route planning/navigation management system with automated start/stop triggering to avoid capture of redundant/duplicate data.

Huge congratulations to the winner of the 2023 Micrograph Award, Clément Majorel (Université Côte d'Azur)! Using the RAITH PIONEER he created this amazing application work, which he describes as follows: The figure shows a 250µm×250µm metasurface made up of GaN nanopillars of height 1µm distributed on a square grid with a period of 250nm. The metasurface is an assembly of hexagonal metalenses of side 11.5µm. This array has a filling factor of 100% (without discontinuities). The fabricated pattern is a 250µm×250µm metasurface composed of an assembly of hexagonal metalenses (11.5µm side) designed to perform directional detection. Angular information is retrieved by combining this array with a detection matrix. In this case, each lens has a unique phase profile that allows it to observe space in a unique and specific direction. If the incoming light is included in the solid angle of a metalens, the latter rectifies the incident direction to focus the light at its center, so as to activate its associated detector. Thus, by knowing which detector is activated, we can determine where the light is coming from. This device can be used in LiDAR (light detection and ranging) experiments to obtain 3D information about the position of objects. Have you got some great work to show as well?
