McKinsey & Company, The current shift towards sustainability isn't just a trend—it's a strategic move for heavy industries to secure their future workforce. By reducing carbon emissions, these industries not only meet environmental goals but also attract new talent seeking meaningful impact. HR leaders are pivotal in nurturing this transition, fostering diversity, and developing skills that align with these transformative goals. This approach not only enhances company identity but also creates a compelling value proposition for prospective employees. It's inspiring to see how these industries are evolving, making sustainability a cornerstone of their growth strategy while remaining committed to driving positive change.

A major talking point is company identity with regards to Ai. And HR should be leading here. Some identity’s will be lumped into the “they got rid of almost everyone” while others will be “they changed everyone’s work to be creative, high EQ, human to human client service and anything boring and repetitive given to Ai” Quite a difference in identity. Apart from the impossible to imagine social implications, it is my opinion that those companies that pivot to incredibly resourced client care, service and attention will be the eventual winners in this century of transformation of work.
