In the world of #softwaredevelopment, customer validation is everything. 💬 That’s why we have launched a new pilot programme in the U.S. for an In-car Feedback App that gives participants the opportunity to rate a range of services in real-time. This exercise is crucial because it puts the customer at the heart of the decision-making process, helping us design and deliver digital products that redefine the in-car digital experience. When customers enrol in this programme via the Mercedes me App, they can provide feedback on various topics, including voice assistance, charging, digital owner manual, climate control, parking, phone, entertainment, and navigation. They can also receive invites on predefined scenarios and get responses to their comments direct from #MercedesBenz. The In-Car Feedback App is available in a variety of models equipped with the latest MBUX infotainment system. Importantly, the customer is always in control of the data; they can decide if they want the feedback to be anonymous, and it can be deleted at any time. The aim with the In-car Feedback App is to create real-world action points that we can take away to redefine the way users interact with their Mercedes. ➡️For more information, please visit https://lnkd.in/eRi_sDUz #MBUX #Infotainment

Since 1886 Mercedes-Benz is creating dream cars. Innovative, inspiring, desirable. With DRIVE PILOT cars like the EQS and the S-Class bring the pioneering spirit to the next level: Just take off your hands from the steering wheel and you can engage in secondary activities. Many generations have dreamed of driving Mercedes-Benz. Now it’s time to realize: We actually drive you. The automated driving functions takes over certain driving tasks. However, a driver is still required. The driver must be ready at all times to take over control of the vehicle when prompted to do so by the vehicle. To use the Digital Extras, you must create a Mercedes me ID and agree to the terms of use for the Mercedes me connect services. Legal admissibility of secondary tasks depends on countries and respective laws.

Proud of Nik S. and the Regulatory Affairs team for representing us at the Driving Vision News conference this week! Nik highlighted Mercedes-Benz’s innovative turquoise Automated Driving Marker Lights, based on SAE J3134 to industry experts and OEM leaders. When L3 DRIVE PILOT is on, these lights signal to other drivers that the car is in autonomous mode. Integrated into the headlamps, side mirrors, and rear lights, they ensure 360˚ visibility. Kudos!

When some of the world’s smartest scientists and some of the world’s brightest engineers pull together, there’s a good chance they’ll probably create some groundbreaking new technologies. To unleash this immense potential, Mercedes-Benz Research & Development North America, Inc. – our R&D hub in Silicon Valley – just announced new research collaborations with Stanford University and UC San Diego. Stanford has been recognised as one of the cradles of #AI innovation. Students at the Stanford University School of Engineering will conduct hands-on research in the field of AI and its applications in the automotive industry. The goal: help advancing the AI-driven passenger experience. UCSD is renowned for its innovative 3D imaging research. The Autonomous Vehicle Laboratory, part of the Contextual Robotics Institute at UC San Diego Jacobs School of Engineering, focuses on image perception and data fusion for automated driving. Innovative 3D scene reconstruction from camera images could ultimately contribute to enhancing the safety of automated driving features. Mercedes-Benz is providing funding and support from its R&D team for each collaboration. And we’ll put the students’ academic research to the test in real-world applications. We’re thrilled to work with the next generation of innovators in what we consider some of the most exciting and most promising fields one can launch a career in.
