Calling all #ChargePoint Alumns at #ACTExpo! Meet at the ChargePoint booth for an alumni photo as soon as doors open at 10 AM PST tomorrow morning. We’ve all gone on to do new things but this network is strong and there’s a ton of us here. Will be great to see everyone.
I finally made it to my first ACT Expo and am bummed that I didn’t see this post! Still and all, I’m stoked that you corralled folks and I’ll make the next one in Anaheim.
To all the GAs I've worked with, to librarians who still mentor Information Science students, to staff I've worked with who I know work with undergrads who aren't sure what they want to do with their education - I interviewed Megan (and a number of students from her cohort) and I've interviewed several other groups of student interns and fellows who are getting experience in places like National Center for Supercomputing Applications and ACCESS. The excitement they all have for their respective programs is infectious. They are so grateful, and so eloquently express how rewarding the experience is, that I feel like I have to shout it out to a bigger audience. I'm not a recruiter, I've just seen how the students feel about these programs first-hand. This is a personal seal of high quality from me. If you're looking to try something like working in cyberinfrastructure, or if you're just curious if it's something you might want to do, I highly recommend considering one of these programs:
STEP - open to any current U.S. students, undergrad and post-grad, and a great opportunity for a paid summer internship that will expand your career opportunities. This one is about working at cyberinfrastructure centers like NCSA. You'd be surprised at the variety of work in a supercomputing center. https://lnkd.in/gfPYVrFN
NCSA - Research fellowships and internships for undergrads and post-grads https://lnkd.in/gSxnehfM - as information scientists, my librarian friends know all about the research process. But getting embedded on a research team gives a new perspective. Some of the students I've interviewed were in their senior year in school - STEM students who weren't sure what they wanted to do with their degree. Programs like these helped them find a new passion - research!
Digital Agriculture - An awesome program for folks in various biology programs (Kelli Trei - something to share with your ACES colleagues!)

The School Security First team is built up by good people simply trying to provide good work in support of first responders dealing with all the chaotic madness we see in our world. If you need an introduction to Mike and his app, please connect directly with them, or DM me and I'd be happy to set up an intro call. Did you know how to move your boxes when putting your email or password in. so it would look more professional? By using Flexbox, you can move the boxes to however much space you would like. Here is an example of how it would look before and after with and without using Flexbox.
Going Back to the Basics
Hi there!
This was a fun project. It took me one to two hours to make.
I faced some difficulties on the way, So I will mention them here, kindly share your feedback and suggestions.
1. I struggled to centre the container without the help of flexbox, I used absolute positioning but it didn't help. Kindly share How can I centre it.
2. I tried to indent the text within list elements but couldn't find a solution. I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide some insight.
That's all. I faced some other difficulties but I googled it and found the answers.
Thank You!
I had fun 😁.

Zoom is probably one of the most popular video meeting tools. However, it is also one of the more costly elements of a companies tech stack.
If anyone in my network is using Zoom and wants to learn how to negotiate a more competitive pricing this might be just the video for you.
And for all those who have realised their tech spend is spiralling and would like to understand it in more detail, please feel free to reach out.
