I can't count how many times people have asked about what I do, and when I said I was in cybersecurity or worked for a tech or cybersecurity company, they asked if I was in marketing. But then when there were women in cybersecurity events, they excluded the women in marketing or PR, and only highlighted the researchers or engineers. It's complex and sometimes uncomfortable: but let's address that there is gender bias in tech and cybersecurity and work for more diversity and inclusion!
