Because I need to use my voice to raise up others that aren't heard enough. Because we'll spend too much time today talking about men - and not enough time talking about women and girls in sport. Sports are a powerful social mechanism - both for good and bad. Let's use it for good. Let's use it as a way to change lives. To shine a bright spotlight on those voices we haven't heard enough from. Let's use sports and games to give confidence, leadership skills and life altering opportunities to those who don't get them otherwise. On that note, I invite anyone and everyone to come try curling with me. It's a very social sport - and has a place for everyone. (It's the only sport I play, so the only one I can invite you too.)
