As we continue to keep a close watch on how cultural trends unfold on Eventbrite, it's really exciting to see how book clubs are taking off, especially with the buzz around Kaia Gerber's new club and BookTok. And it's not just about books and finding new ways to connect with others - Gen Z is also looking for something different from the usual late-night, booze-filled scene. Let's take a closer look: 📈 Eventbrite saw a significant 24% increase in book club events all across the US from 2022 to 2023. 📚 Event organizers are transforming book clubs to provide an inclusive and diverse space for Gen Z audiences, introducing experiences such as queer book clubs, which saw attendance spike by 82% from 2022 to 2023, and silent book clubs, which experienced a 16% rise. Additionally, unique concepts like romance, boozy brunch, and even singles book clubs are also gaining traction. 🗣️ Expanding on this trend, Eventbrite has noticed the rise of what we call "literary socials" – events that mix written and spoken arts with social experiences. These gatherings include poetry slams, poetic jam sessions, and evening running routes inspired by literature (Chicagoans, make sure to check out Read & Run Chicago's awesome events). THE AWARD PROCESS Our award events are divided into THREE areas: Location, Industry and Founder Stories. Location and Industry awards are driven by a nomination process through online voting. The female founders with the highest votes will reach the final stage where the winner will be announced at the awards event. Once the finalists have been announced, the winner will be chosen by a set of panelist’s. Voting can only be completed via our website platform. The Founder Stories awards allow female founders to nominate themselves by sharing their story indicating why their business should win their chosen award. Businesses are able to apply to as many awards as suited to their business structure. We understand some businesses can take multiple forms and would like to acknowledge this. Judges will process each award application and select the winner who will be announced at the award ceremony. Applications for these awards can be submitted via the website platform. Finalists will be notified via email before announcing on our social media platforms. The voting process will open 4 months prior to each country’s award ceremony.

Address the comments, share unsuccessful cases, and try to show an accurate picture rather than an ideal one. 3. Build your expertise, learn and share essential resources. 4. Engage with the community. Be active, reply to comments, communicate with your colleagues and support their achievements. 5. Be systematic. Any work with a reputation requires consistency. As you understand your purpose and the value you can bring to the community, ideas for posts and inspiration to share with colleagues will emerge.
