Wondering how Sanofi leveraged its partnership with #Paris2024 (Paris 2024 - Comité d'organisation des Jeux Olympiques et Paralympiques de 2024)?   - What should we showcase through the sponsorship? - Where will promotional QR codes lead to? - What stories should we tell?   Well, such problem statements are solved with creativity and innovation. We decided to create awe-inspiring '#Olympics' magic amongst our employees, weaving into it the parallel of sports and science and our mission of ‘chasing the miracles of science to improve people’s lives’. Since meeting the Olympics sponsorship commitment three years ago, we have created sparkling energy within and through our employees with the shared values between sports and science. At #Praxis11, Bruno Tourne - Head of Communications at Sanofi, who was a Keynote Speaker, shared insights on the experience of leveraging the Olympics & Paralympics sponsorship for employee engagement that yielded unaided, unprecedented employee advocacy via a public expression of pride, vigor and commitment. Bruno spoke about how the program involved 8,000 Sanofians worldwide (Volunteers, Igniters and Torchbearers) who represented the Company with tremendous energy. He also highlighted how we made a remarkably positive impact on our employees around the world, while helping raise the voices of others to create a diverse and inclusive society. #Paris2024 advances to the next round 🗼🏅 This summer's sports season has it all. With the outstanding performances from the #Olympic Games still fresh in our minds, a new wave of elite athletes has taken the stage as the #Paralympics kicked off this week. The numbers are impressive: 👉 184 delegations 👉 4,400 athletes 👉 65,000 spectators What impresses me even more are the values that this event embodies: determination, equality, inspiration, and courage. These are principles from which we can all learn. I find the International Paralympic Committee's stance on equality particularly compelling: “Paralympic Sport acts as an agent for change to break down social barriers of discrimination for persons with an impairment.” This resonates with me deeply, because leading a #familybusiness like Rhenus Logistics also demands driving change that benefits society, especially for future generations. Just as the Paralympics champion #inclusion and #equality, we at Rhenus share these values and strive to build a space where everyone can succeed, regardless of their background or identity. 🏆💯

Using the "share of search" metric, it's evident who benefited from this investment, with specific products and services trending in June. 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐬: -The championship drew over five billion TV viewers globally, with nearly two million Swedes watching the final's second half. -Thirteen companies sponsored the event, including five from China, raising sportswashing concerns. -"Share of search" has become a key marketing metric, measuring the proportion of total searches for a brand in a category. -Data from My Telescope shows both new and established brands gained recognition, with Chinese brands like Hisense, Alipay, Atos, and Vivo seeing significant boosts. -In Sweden, Lidl (57.2%) and Adidas (30.2%) dominated searches, with Chinese brands BYD and Aliexpress also making a mark. -Companies that strategically invest in sponsorship, maintaining consistent visibility across channels, achieve significant synergies and strengthen their brand relationships. Thank you LinkedIn and adidas for the cool post! As a long-time adidas brand fan and soccer enthusiast since age 8, I keep a pair of superstars and sambas in my closet. The Dassler Brothers' story is a fantastic example of competition, brand positioning, and game theory within marketing, strategy, and economics tactics so this is very timely as I’m about to take world reknown Professor Alexander Chernev EMBA marketing strategy course Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management. Aligning with a brand that I can relate to has been important in my career, and education. Leading procurement for major brands like #Barbie and #adidas allowed me to work closely with some of the world's best #marketing teams, and agency and marketing partners globally. And being able to obtain a business degree with a marketing focus from USC Marshall School of Business and as an MBA candidate at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management, reminds me of how fantastic it is when life comes full circle connecting my personal experiences with brands that I can relate to. Reading about the feud between the Dassler Brothers and the subsequent rivalry between adidas and Puma brought back memories. Both brands have a special place in my heart from early in life, especially adidas iconic Copa Mundial that perfectly suited my soccer needs to those shiny new Superstars and Sambas that I could never wait to wear. The proximity of adidas and PUMA Group Global HQs in Herzo, Germany, reminds me of the major sport brand HQs near Portland, Oregon, such as Nike and adidas, showcasing the significance of talent acquisition for these giants. Proximity competition is an age old game that has stood the test of time! As an Adi Alum, I'm grateful for the impact this brand has had on my life, and now this brand (and thankfully the world) allows me to embrace comfort and style in my day-to-day work attire.
