Shedding negativity during & after cancer: Did you find that some people in your life were negative during your cancer treatment? PICTURE THIS: Someone who does not take care of their feet may develop callouses. These callouses can cause pain when walking and make it harder for new, healthy skin to grow. IMAGINE THIS: You are allowing negative relationships to build up callouses in your life, making it harder for you to heal and cope with your cancer journey. Happy Fathers Day! Today, I had a profound conversation with Nurse Mary about my journey curing prostate cancer. From facing shock to embracing gratitude, the emotions have been transformative. Starting with Ignorance, Worry, Negative thinking, Fear, and Anxiety, then replacing them with Study, Positive thinking, Faith, and well-being! Mary emphasized the importance of early detection in curing prostate cancer and highlighted that frequent urination could be a sign for screening. Did you know that about 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime? The risk varies by age and other factors, with older men at a higher risk. For instance: - Under 50: About 1 in 456 men are diagnosed - 50–59: 1 in 54 men are diagnosed - 60–69: 1 in 19 men are diagnosed - 70 and older: 1 in 11 men are diagnosed. As I undergo treatment, I feel gratitude, ease, freedom, and the belief that beyond Pain and Fear lies Pleasure and Faith. Embracing this journey with love and appreciation, this has been my best Father's day ever! Let's kick cancer in the butt! After breast cancer treatment ends we tend to think we should bounce back immediately, be as productive as ever, and handle everything perfectly, right? And it can often feel like our motivation has completely disappeared! But recovery is a journey, not a race. So please, be gentle with yourself! And those high expectations can actually hinder our motivation and recovery. What I've witnessed is that when we set the bar too high, it’s easy to feel discouraged when we don’t meet those expectations. This can create a cycle of self-criticism and frustration, making it even harder to get motivated. These micro-habits are easy to integrate, no matter how busy or tired you are. Each task is quick and easy, so you can start to feel more accomplished and motivated without feeling exhausted. By making these small changes, you’ll start to build momentum and regain a sense of control over your health and well-being.

September is the Month of Childhood cancer awareness, Blood cancer awareness, Sickle cell anemia awareness month and what better to start a conversation on the use of right language during cancer. One of the finest talks on the language in cancer I've had in the past several years. A conversation coming from a Lived experience is always touching and moves several blocks of conditioning that we've been living with in this space. Arrhythmia is a condition in which the heart beats with an irregular or abnormal rhythm. Arrhythmias cause upto 100,000 sudden cardiac deaths each year, which is more than breast cancer and AIDS combined. This week is the annual awareness week for detecting arrythmias with the heartsafe campaign. Today is also Supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) Awareness Day focusing on raising awareness of symptoms and treatment options for SVT also known as Paroxysmal Supraventricular Tachycardia (pSVT).
