Did you know that 80% of hiring managers believe refugees have the right skills and experience for the job? Yet, many of them are overlooked because they lack traditional credentials. It's time to shift our focus from degrees to skills. Having more diverse hiring leads to more innovation and stronger performance — a benefit to us all! • text on a green gridded background reads "unlocked courses". Underneath it, two cards describe practises that are "in" versus "out". The "out" card reads: "Missing out on qualified candiates by prioritizing degrees and credentials". The "in" card reads: "Hiring based on skills and experience to broaden your talent pool". Underneath the cards, text reads "Get started with our free learning path"

I believe refugees have gone through various challenges which are essential for survival hence they are the best to perform in any challenges either in personal life or in job. For me, hiring manager's should always follow DEI principles during hiring to make world a better place to live and work.

It will be wrong to only hire based on skills and experience without considering qualifications. I think combination or intergration of the triagular requirements players an important role. We must as government and private sector promote education and recognise those who studied. Its high time to recognise South Africans and do away with seeing youth as the only people fit for employment in this country and say 35 above should be less recognition. We want the 35 and above to be recognise. we dont want this afe discrimination among ourselves

This happens all the time in Canada. I hope this situation changes because it is a big missed chance for everybody. We are talking about resilient people who have a lot to offer!

Absolutely agree! Refugees bring a wealth of skills, experiences, and unique perspectives from their home countries, which can greatly enrich businesses. However, it’s disheartening that many refugees encounter barriers due to restrictive employment regulations during the asylum process. These barriers often deter employers from hiring them, despite their potential contributions.

It's good to hear it but to overcome to any activity in any society to need to have experienced and educated ones together where the skilled would be a part of the experienced and there have to be the graduated elements as well. I believe in any organization, any society, ... There must be a mixed of singles besides to bachelor, experienced besides to graduate and so on. The percentage of 80 doesn't look real figure.

Hello, Our colleague had created his LinkedIn profile and verified it. Continued to work through his LinkedIn account for a long time. LinkedIn temporarily restricted his account after our many efforts, we also tried to do sufficient verification through Persona. However, due to bad luck, the account is not getting verified. We also contacted the LinkedIn support team but they did not help us. https://www.linkedin.com/in/usman-warpal/
