*DAY TWO iMEDIA WRAP UP* 🎤 We opened day 2 with an engaging fireside chat with Paul Zahra (CEO of Australian Retailers Association (ARA), who I always love listening to and Matthew Benham from Amazon. Discussing the new retail landscape. The focus was on agility, customer-centricity, and digital innovation. 👩💻 Then ‘Back to the Stack: Technology and Total Cost of Ownership’ with Heather E. from Nutrition Warehouse, Joanna Millhouse from KOOKAI Australia and Hannah Udina from Shopify Plus. They discussed how your tech stack needs to be able to scale with your business and the needs of your customer and how crucial it is to replicate your online customer experience with your with in store customer experience. Making sure your retail and digital teams work together not at war with each other was another discussion point. Hannah suggested retailers ask their vendors about their future roadmap so they can see what’s coming and be prepared. Including chat GPT in your SEO strategy? I never even thought about this before…. 😱 🤳 Helena Barroso Zarco, from impact.com moderated a panel with Courtney Dwyer from frank body and Rhyanna Cardillo from The Aje Collective (both very successful brands stories). They covered Affiliate and Influencer marketing strategies. TikTok is still the biggest driver of revenue in this space, followed by Instagram but You Tube is becoming bigger. Courtney believes they have only 5-7 seconds on TikTok to capture the customers attention 🤯 Ryhanna talked about the differences between beauty and high-end fashion in terms of frequency of order and price-point and how this all needs to be considered. I also didn’t realise just how heavily regulated the beauty space is-even when marketing products with SPF! 🍿 Nic Robin COO of Village Roadshow (one of Lexer’s clients) shared stories with Mick O’brien from Rokt. They both discussed how retailers can capitalise on the convergence of physical and digital retail for growth, with Retail Media. Thanks Nic for the fantastic plug of Lexer how the CDP works with the rest of your tech stack. ⛵️ We finished the day off being split into groups to do some networking, in a fun relaxed setting- Sailing, JetBoating, Golf, Mixology and Pizza Making. It was the perfect setting to get to know everyone on a more personal level. The GC turned on the weather for us too!
