Just wrapped up my first experience with Forage, diving into the Deloitte Student Academy Virtual Experience Programme! Thank you Deloitte Ireland for this invaluable opportunity to experience a graduate's day-to-day life and explore different areas of the business. Through this programme, I've delved into the diverse facets of consulting, financial advisory, risk advisory, corporate tax, and audit.  In the simulation, I honed my skills in: 1. Critical thinking - Analyse complex scenarios and develop strategic insights and solutions after carefully reviewing the information provided  for aid in risk management and integrate insights into corrective measures. 2. Business Communication - Crafting clear and concise messages to present findings and propose solutions to stakeholders 3. Risk Analysis and Management - Developed a deep understanding by identifying vulnerabilities in business processes and formulating tailored solutions. What stood out for me was the practical approach to learning—real-life problem-solving through hypothetical tasks based on actual scenarios. It's not just theoretical; it's a hands-on experience mirroring the professional world's challenges. Lets dig deep into it EY Rapid is in essence a back office of Audit & Assurance services - MENA Region, EY has always stood by its policies & believes in fostering a positive & professional work culture Despite all these, students who will join EY Rapid as articles trainees will be doing their training from an industry as Rapid is registered as a company here in Pakistan So, can CA Students doing training can’t practice after articles from EY Rapid? - Here is what my opinion is, ICAP requires at least 2 years of firm experience if you want to start practice as an Audit firm or consultancy firm Since EY Rapid, in essence, is a part of Big 4 & effectively students working there will be doing Audits (just like other trainees), despite it being an industry, such students will surely be considered by local firms as well as international firms So, despite doing articles from EY Rapid, a 2 year post articles job in firm can enable you to start practice as well #EY #EY_Rapid #EY_MENA #Big4 #RapidInnovation #RapidInnovationPvtLtd #Articles #Training #CA #AfaqACA

Emma's journey from associate to complex delivery leader showcased her expertise in client analysis and driving impactful solutions across sectors like telecommunications and healthcare. Her insights into consulting were truly eye-opening, emphasising the importance of teamwork and strategic thinking in delivering transformative outcomes. What stood out most were Emma's insights into leveraging language skills and experiences gained during her year abroad and studies at Bath University. These experiences fueled her passion for technology and client-facing roles, setting her on a path that included securing a position on KPMG's graduate scheme and a transformative secondment in Belgium. Andjela shared her extensive cross-sector experience and dedication to fair opportunities in technology through initiatives like 'It’s Her Future'. Emmalyn brought invaluable perspectives from her 16+ years in audit across multiple regions, emphasising mentoring and personal development. Both highlighted the importance and impact of auditing, community impact, and continuous learning. Their session on auditing at KPMG UK provided deep insights into daily operations and expectations for graduates. The Perks of going beyond: In the midst of this fiscal year, I undertook the responsibility of guiding new joiners through our EY audit tool. While they brought a required amount of technical skill, they also sought guidance in navigating the routine engagement work and effective client management. Recognizing their earnestness, I immediately dedicated myself to crafting a tailored training program that went beyond mere tool proficiency. It aimed to equip them with the confidence and skills needed to excel in client management and task execution. Recently, a trainee approached me, eyes filled with gratitude. Shared how the training had transformed his approach to each and every client he is working on. In that moment, I realized the true impact of investing in our team's growth. It's these stories of genuine growth and gratitude that remind us why we go beyond. Let's keep nurturing these moments, fostering real connections, and propelling each other towards greatness. To better explain what work experience I developed thanks to my former EY employment, with training on the job, I post a description of how I trained: "the ACP [Advisory Consulting Programme] is a two year development scheme which has been designed to give graduates a broad consulting experience whilst developing a range of core consulting skills." To qualify for a salary rise after 2 years, and an official Senior Consultant job title, the requirements here to follow had to be met (although, our consultant role matched the senior consultant level in many of our clients seniority structures. So I was resourced with a more senior job title since my 1st year) ✅ Gaining a diverse range of experiences through participation on different client engagements ✅ Building a strong internal network within Sub Service Line, competency and sub competency/pod teams, wider Advisory Service Line and beyond ✅ Engaging in Sub Service Line, Competency and Sub Competency/pod activities, including team meetings, events, and practice development activities ✅ Completing the CIMA CBA qualification (I completed mine in Feb 2016) "The Advisory Consulting Programme (ACP) is an entry level development programme which enables participants to gain technical and core consulting skills through on-the-job learning and developmental activities that are underpinned by a common professional qualification (CIMA CBA [which was the Certificate in Business Accounting at level1, so 5 exams])." As ACPs, we had to go through four market rotations during our two years on the scheme, and complete: 2 Government and Public Sector rotations (GPS, for me with the DIT's agency RIO), 1 in Energy and Assets (E&A, so mostly capital projects, e.g. corporate strategy for the construction of energy and transport infrastructure) and 1 in Products and Services (P&S). We were handled this training policy in paper form during the 2 weeks Core Consulting Skills course, at the start of our employment contract, and we had to return it signed on the day. As we were in a training centre without photocopy machine, I asked for a copy of it via email (as otherwise I didn't find this policy with all the other EY ones on EY's intranet policy-webpage). I am posting here this policy to shed light on what type of work I did at EY, especially as the acronym "ACP" is used in a wide variety of contexts, with different meaning! Charting New Heights at PwC Academy🚀: A Journey of Growth and Gratitude July 31st marked the end of an enriching career chapter at PwC's Academy Middle East, and with all absorbed over the past 5 months,- the beginning of invaluable growth. Your collective guidance, encouragement, collaboration, and most of all, your openness - have been pivotal in enriching my journal of growth - both professionally and personally. Sincerely, it was a privilege! I was educated on far more than words can convey, but I penned down what I believe stood out the most: 📊Plan Strong, Deliver Stronger Quality is everything. Not a single aspect of a project, deserves any less than high grade and meticulous attention to detail. Often unseen tasks are the backbone of a flawless project. This isn't just a step in the process, but the foundation to success - where each question mark highlights how to achieve a project's highest potential. What started as a proactive strategy, came to be a discipline; it enabled me to manage my workload efficiently, meet deadlines consistently, and to be a part of delivering high quality results. 🔀Harness Flexibility There is always an opportunity for growth in our ability to adapt. With the constant challenges and opportunities, preparedness may not always suffice. This demands a spirit of resilience. Rather than being confined by uncertainty, I chose to explore the path of “What can I discover/learn from this?”. I learned that the true potential of a project and oneself, is unlocked when we address, and conquer something unfamiliar. ⏳Focus and Balance Attention to detail is paramount, but sustaining it needs adept time management and- the occasional pause. I saw that true quality comes from a balance between intense focus, and taking a breath. This balance not only enhanced my productivity but also ensured consistent results on days that required ample multi-tasking.(I know of an incredibly wise colleague that would swear that an Americano sums up everything I just said ☕). 🧠Document all Ideas The mind is for generating ideas, not for storing them. Embracing this mindset at PWC Academy was welcomed. I made it a habit to capture my thoughts immediately and by recording and organizing my ideas, I could focus on problem-solving, enhancing my creativity and enabling me to contribute more effectively to my team in times of need.
