I've developed a simpler jackpot side bet for my Pick A Card game. Both the original and new jackpots get triggered when the three cards selected is either a straight flush or three of a kind. But instead of locking up the bets awaiting a new three card hand, in the new version, a fourth card is selected. If the resulting 4 card hand hand is a 4 card straight flush or is four of a kind, Jackpot! If a 3 card straight flush becomes a straight or a flush, or if the fourth card added to the three of a kind is the last suit, then it pays a partial jackpot. That's it.
