Entrepreneur | TEDx Speaker | Non-Profit Executive Director | Empowering individuals to thrive through transformative experiences, building connected communities for collective impact.

Wow! I’m so grateful to be featured in this thoughtful, compelling article in the University of the Cumberlands alumni magazine this quarter. It captures what I hoped to communicate in my TEDx talk, the journey that led me to that point, and a glimpse of what is next. Thank you, Sarah Shelley, for the fun interview (and for letting me talk your ear off!) While I’m not an expert on artificial intelligence by any means, these advancements in technology highlight the necessity of developing our human skills - collaboration, creativity, empathy, critical thinking, resilience, self-awareness, and yes, communication and authenticity. These skills impact our families, our teams, our organizations, and our communities as a whole. Just as we train in technical skills, we should also be strategically investing in increasing these capacities for our people as well.
