Litigation - the practice group where most people go to have hands-on experience but where the expectations do not always match reality, especially in BigLaw at large firms. I speak (in the context of in-house roles) to a lot of Senior Associates who see that in retrospect, it would have been a great thing to go to a boutique in their 2-3rd year, to gain significant strategy, pleading & and hands-on experience.
