Customer service vs. Customer acquisition Most of SCM professionals (I call them CCM) have their key KPI as Cost to Serve. - primary freight - secondary freight - WH ops cost - cost of inventory holding , SLOB , handling damages etc .. - many more Every year there is a target to reduce all above by value engineering / negotiations / automation and what not … My point of view - 1. This can be linked to how may customer retentions 2. How many new acquisitions 3. New benchmark of services 4. New level of experience by customers for associated brands And hence, every year these costs should NOT just reduce BUT every delta increase should be looked at in line with above 4 points . In order to have accurate inventory control numbers, when making product changes, you must contact the TMS office so the staff can make the necessary changes to your tank information in our system. If you have recently made changes and have not contacted TMS, do so immediately. If possible, please notify TMS prior to making changes. TMS also asked that you update them with any tank, line, or inventory control upgrades, removals, or sale of properties.
