Dogs for Autism are the first charity in the UK to specialise in dogs for autism, and the only charity to provide dogs free of charge to autistic people of any age, anywhere in the UK. April is World Autism Month, a time to celebrate autism acceptance and to raise awareness of the challenges that autistic people continue to face in society. We support the work of CRC Central Remedial Clinic and Rehab Group, two organisations that provide essential services to autistic people across Ireland. Today, on World Autism Awareness Day, let's acknowledge the strengths of individuals with Autism. At Cobra Network, we're committed to cultivating an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and supported. This year, we have partnered with Support Dogs, an organisation dedicated to transforming the lives of individuals with various medical conditions by training and providing support dogs to children and adults in need, this includes Autism assistance dogs. As part of our commitment, we aim to raise £20,000 to fully train a Support Dog right up to being matched with an individual in need. 🚫 Today is National Stop Bullying Day – a powerful reminder that we must all take a stand against bullying, especially for the children in foster care who are often the most vulnerable. What can you do? 🗣️ Speak up: If you see or hear about bullying, report it and offer support to the child involved. 🤝 Educate and teach children about kindness, empathy, and the impact of their words and actions. 🙋♂️ Get involved and volunteer with or donate to organizations like A Mighty Change of Heart that work to support and protect children in foster care.
