From starting in 1986 to becoming the IRS’s first Chief Taxpayer Experience Officer in 2021, his leadership has revolutionized taxpayer service: 🔹 Enhanced with better search and content 🔹 Introduced "Where’s My Refund" and document uploads 🔹 Developed online accounts and voice/chat bots 🔹 Launched direct filing and electronic submissions 🔹 Implemented a callback feature to cut hold times In 2023, the IRS processed 150 million returns, issued $335 billion in refunds, and improved call response times from 29 to 13 minutes. Ken’s efforts have also boosted taxpayer trust, raising approval ratings from 70% to 84%. Ken’s innovations have set a new standard for government service.
