The Annalise.ai chest X-ray clinical support tool will now be introduced in six of England’s imaging networks. 🎯 This represents a third of all chest X-rays performed in England. ➡ The Annalise.ai solution can improve earlier diagnosis of lung cancer and treatment outcomes. The incredible part is that it's just not restricted to lung cancer detection. ➡ The technology supports clinicians in accurately diagnosing conditions such as sepsis at speed through a chest X-ray. ➡ Chest X-rays can provide useful information regarding the possibility of infections such as pneumonia or empyema, as well as rule out conditions such as pulmonary edema. ➡ Or clinicians may use it to segregate the remarkable scans from unremarkable ones. ➡ It's also useful for detecting the position of NG tubes, reducing the chances of never events. https://lnkd.in/gY_Rsvhd

The NHS is revolutionising oesophageal cancer diagnosis with a simple "sponge-on-a-string" test. Developed by researchers at the University of Cambridge, this innovative approach eliminates the need for endoscopy, making the process quicker, cost-effective, and reducing waiting lists. 🫁🧠💖 It feels like over the last few years AI has been developed in Waves. We had Cardiology with companies like Circle and Medis early on, then came Neuro with Rapid.AI and Viz. Now it feels like we are in the middle of huge developments in the Lung space. Leaders like Riverain, Coreline, Qure and ContextFlow are all making huge steps in the detection of Lung Nodules. A new study on two-for-one CT screening for lung cancer and cardiovascular disease not only confirms recent research showing that opportunistic screening can enhance the value of CT lung cancer scans, but also the role that lung exams can play in reducing healthcare disparities. The UK government and NHS has made a monumental stride in healthcare, fully embracing digital pathology to enhance breast, bowel, and cervical cancer screening programs.
